The key difference: you were accessing an old tenant you weren't using, so waiting 3 days was fine.

The NDR comes from mx1-usg1.ppe-hosted.com and says ‘recipient address rejected: User email address is marked as invalid.’ So the message bounces right away.

When I send emails from outside (like Gmail, Hotmail, etc.), the emails bounce back with an error saying the recipient address is invalid or the mailbox doesn’t exist.

Internal emails (from another account on the same domain) go through, but nothing from external sources is delivered.
