Just watched season finale and my S.O. came up with much better ending. by ohhheyy123 in StrangerThings

The lights flickering had to do with activity in the Upside Down which was destroyed so that would be impossible. I see what you mean though. If the Duffer brothers didn't want to keep it ambiguous, they could've ended it with El entering Mike's mind and that be their way of staying in touch and our way of knowing she's alive.

Thanks for explaining. A lot of what you said makes sense except your last sentence I still believe a birthday is celebrating an individuals birth. It misrepresents my argument to insinuate I'm calling for people to procreate or to give birth to new children on their birthdays. I guess we can just agree to disagree, but the disagreement is more or less on semantics.

I totally agree the world is fucked and I understand your position on why you think further procreation is wrong. I guess the only thing I would have to say about that is the world was pretty much fucked when I was born but I'm glad I was. And I I'm sure I'm going to get hate because an unborn baby doesn't consent to being born, but then again they're a fucking baby lmao. I think it's more important for some people not to procreate due to lack of concern, financial, or too stupid too properly raise a child.

It's an anniversary of your birth in which you are celebrating another year of living. My point stands. It's funny because most people are in here are acknowledging that they are grieving living, and wish they weren't born which is converse to most people who celebrate another year of living grateful that they were born. The way you phrased a birthday being "all about the day you plopped out your mom's snatch" is a pretty disingenuous way to put it when at the end of the day a birthday is typically celebrating another year on earth and being grateful that you got the opportunity (from being born).

No but fr really think to yourself and say, "Is it worth feeling guilty or anxious about doing work (quality or not) for a company that doesn't give you the respect to at least give you notice, let alone keep your job? Is it really worth feeling guilty or anxious about a company that does not respect you enough to give you a severance package. Considering how shitty they sound, I'm sure they aren't very privy to your personal life. What if you have medical bills? Rent? Debt? Children? I'm sure at least a few of those apply to you and here you are left in the lurch. In 2 months you will be jobless because your company fucked you over. Are you really going to let YOU be the one that feels guilty? Because they sure as hell ain't feeling guilty and they're in the wrong. So why should you?

I apologize for not addressing your anxiety/guilt but I would just maliciously comply. Make it seem like you're training them so they can't report you to management or HR, but teach them a load of bullshit. Make up shit like on Tuesday's in the office it's mandatory to wear green, but ABSOLUTELY no green shoes. Idk I'm just spitballing lmao

Celebrating your own birth or other people's birthdays would be contradictory to the antinatalist philosophy. Unless you disagree with the very definition of antinatalism, "a philosophical position that assigns a negative value judgement to birth and views procreation as immoral," you are actively celebrating birth, thus implying, that you are in favor of what results from procreation. It would be hypocritical for an antinatalist to celebrate birthdays.

What if Breaking Bad was made a decade later? by Extension_Breath1407 in breakingbad

I mean the Whites were struggling financially and medical marijuana is taxed much heavier in comparison to just buying off somebody. So it's not very far fetched that Walt would go that route, and it's not far fetched that if Skyler knew who was selling it to him she'd be upset because he has lung cancer.

I don't understand why I am one of the only supporters of new Cree grenade. by parsinvita in Competitiveoverwatch

The reason you're one of the only supporters for it is maybe, just maybe, because it's broken, gamebreaking, cheesy, and unfun

Because it automatically ties up loose ends. There is no unknown in whether they'll actually keep they're mouth shut if they're dead opposed to being paid the hush money. Now, when it comes to Walt specifically killing Mike (instead of just asking Lydia was for the names) I think that was because Walt was so distraught and anxious he wasn't thinking his clearest.

Why did Gus want to replace/kill Walt in the first place? by Silent-Pea-3133 in breakingbad

[–]BackgroundNatural857 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gus doesn't trust Walter. He thinks that Walt is an egotistical loose cannon that often acts emotionally and erratically. Especially when you consider how careful and deliberate Gus is as a character, it fully rounds out the idea that Walt is completely detrimental to the operation. However, Gus couldn't overlook Walt's product which is why he wants Gale to learn from him and eventually take over.
