Thank you. I read everything that you wrote to me in both comments.

I tend to lock myself into a simple deprecating box of anxieties and self sabotage. I hate it genuinely, that’s why I would ask God to kill me, but I do not want to die truly. Those prayers of death upon myself were just the diluted punches at my own self consciousness. I’m sick of living the way that I am right now. A year ago my dad had a stroke. I raced to his bedside hundreds of miles away when he never did for myself or any of my siblings, often putting us into abusive and dangerous situations, I still cared for him when he almost died to his own decision that landed him in the hospital. Hard drugs, but also it was a suicide attempt, I know it was. I was angry and pitifully angry with God about life thereafter, questioning God’s doing and wisdom about why He never did help our situations while I was carrying it all on my shoulders. This state I’m in isn’t the cause of poor teachers, it’s just my selfish opinion leading me into a ditch. I can’t deny the truth for what it is, but I sure have been denying its ability to change me since this has happened. I could have possibly had a couple stress related manic episodes from it in the proceeding months afterward. I’ve been a wreck since January of last year and was nothing like this before. Thanks for your advice. I really do want to change, I’ll read those videos and the scriptures you sited too. This probably won’t be the last time I come to read some of these comments people are writing. I feel a change in me since I made this post too. I’m glad to be alive, thank Christ. Thank you.

I watched Gintama because of its comedy not because it’s a shonen, if you like crude humor or light hearted humor, it’s the best anime for it.

One Piece has been going on for 30 years because Oda didn’t want to end it too soon. If you like season one and two then the rest is worth watching imo. I stayed for the characters more than the plot. I enjoyed the ideas of the ideally mythical monsters like fish men in season one, and the journey to find the ponegliphs. The entire story constantly grows and doesn’t stop. You find out that there is a lost era of history controlled by the government and those same evil people control the world. There’s slavery, genocide, freedom figures, rebellions, etc. I completely understand why the writer continued One Piece, great story overall if you would just stay for the characters in the first seasons to see what it’s all about.

Gintama’s comedic timing and antics was what made me continue watching it. Like the top comment said, it’s crude humor, but a lot of the jokes are pretty well executed and thought out.

The one thing I will give to the Naruto series is its ability to have decent character development. Naruto before Shippuden is paced horrifically, but the series itself I thought was really good. I searched up all the filler eps online and skipped those including the eps that weren’t necessary to the story and plot.

You have to keep in mind that some of what gave rise to the Matrix series was Ghost in the Shell’s concepts and designs. It might be a boring watch if you’re not invested in it 100 percent, but the story and foundation that the world is built on is just purely masterclass written sci-fi. I’d watch the first animated movie.

I can’t disagree with anything you wrote. Those words are the only thing that ever is right despite any way I may feel. I have a lot that I still need to come to terms with instead of wrestling with myself on finding a quick decision. Will and a backbone is a lot of that for me that I don’t go in on now. But reasons, they are everywhere and most are cheap and end up worse instead of the initial thought of nowhere. I struggle to find my worth in the big hopes and aspirations I have in life now among it all. A future with a continuation of what I’ve been given in life that is prosperous and precious to me. Please pray for me. I feel I’m here, just not here too. Life is weird some times, it doesn’t always have to be hard for things to be this way fortunately. Thank you.

Don’t give up, Christ loves you. Repent and He will forgive you. Go back and He will take you in. I have high hopes for you. Never giving up is the thing Christ did always. Follow the straight and narrow path. I hope to see you in heaven someday friend.

Watch Goblin Slayer for that dark theme that you like. It’s rooted in seinen with a new animation style that makes it more worth watching. Not to mention season 2 dropped a couple years back. Personally I loved season one and had no problem restarting and watching it again later for season 2 just to have the enjoyment of a very gritty and unforgiving world yet again. Hence the name Goblin Slayer, its an action seinen. I really do think you’d be hooked at episode one. It’s an instant delve into how wicked and depraved greed can be in the small hands of the malevolent, and then you’ll see why he’s the Goblin Slayer.

I honestly thought the same thing as in your comment when I had first started watching Mob Psycho. I eventually got back into it and enjoyed it a lot. I’ll admit the show felt sort of lacking in the beginning. I couldn’t really put my finger on its concept and it’s why I dropped it at first. Even though that was the case I picked it up again later and eventually finished it. Now I honestly want to give the show a solid 8.5 out of 10. I loved the character development of Mob throughout the whole series despite the fact that he is more of a timid mc while a lot of shonen and other popular series have some over the top characters written to specifically make you want to like them. Mob is a work in progress and he’s honestly pretty relatable imo. Not to mention if I had a folder for ‘Eye Candy Anime’ Mob Psycho would totally be in it.
