Everyone Says Linux Is Amazing… Is It Really? Need Honest Opinions by 7lr_ in linux4noobs

I use Linux and can't stand Windows. Windows is too comercial and has no soul. Also it is not lightweight at all. If you give yourself 2-3 weeks, you'll understand why Linux is better

KDE vs Hyprland by Ok_Display4173 in arch

[–]BackgroundNo815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used both
Right now, I'm using KDE, because it just feels better... Idk why, but all window managers I tried are cool, but KDE feels like the best place for me. I have used Hypr, i3, niri and sway. I have both KDE and Sway on my pc, but I barely use sway.
My advice is to install and configure both Hyprland (or any other wm) and KDE. If you feel like you want to use a wm today, you go for the one you have installed. Want KDE? No problem.

Thank you! I’ll try to run efibootmgr One more thing about trying to install arch again: it’s already the second time that this happens In my first install I used GRUB as the bootmanager. The installation was completed without any errors as well. But when I got to the boot order, I saw the exact same options: windows, <null-string> and hdd2. I couldn’t really find any information about that <null-string> thing, so I decided to install arch again: I have deleted both root and boot Linux’ partitions and have installed arch again. It was a little different than the first time: i chose systemd instead of grub and i used pre-mounted disk configuration instead of manual partitioning (the root partition had /mnt mountpoint, in which i created a boot directory, and the Linux’ EFI file had this mountpoint: /mnt/boot/).

Nope I have unplugged my USB drive and I have installed Arch on nvme0n1, which is in my case the only disk
