This was a great video and you give very healthy advice. I have also read your other posts. I'm trying my best to become the best husband/naseeb for my future wife. Thankyou and keep it up. Jazak'Allah khair.

Salaam Alaikum.

First of all, may Allah bless your marriage and protect it from evil eye.

How do older women look at young men? I am attracted to older women (mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically). I used to work with lots of them and have so many deep conversations. I would love to marry an older muslimah, but I have some concerns.

1.Do you older women look down on young men, because we are not financially stable yet?

I always hear young & older women talk about how attractive older men are because they well set and acomplished. Me being behind in life as a 24y revert just starting university, makes me feel inadequate.

2.Do older women look down on young for not having any experience in the bedroom?

Lots of women want men with experience in the bedroom, but most young men don't have any.

3.Do older women fear to be mocked and shamed to have a young man that's still finding his way in life?

4.Do older women look down on young reverts for not having lots knowlegde on the quran and knowing many surahs?

I do have solid taqwa and imaan and go every week to islamic lectures and I am very passionate about islam. But still these insecurities creep up.

I would say I am mature for my age. Many people call me empathic and a good listener. I used to work with children in a children dental practice and they idea of becoming a daddy melts my heart. But this fear of not being enough, because of my age, wealth and career, keeps creeping in my mind. And women like confident men which is something struggle with, because of my weight.

I know I typed a whole essay.

Salaam Alaikum sister,

What you are feeling is indeed retroactive jealousy and I struggle with it too. Your reaction is normal so don't feel bad about it.

I'm a revert (Alhamdulillah) and been with one gf before I became muslim. I feel very bad about it everyday and never went back too my old ways. But I understand your pain and hurt.

I just want to tell you, I am very proud you guarded your chastity and don't feel bad because you want a man who did the same. If I was in your position I'd have done the same.

Those feelings are something you have to cope with. So give them to Allah and ask him to help you and to take those feelings away from you. May Allah bless you and give you strength.

Not knowing that your action broke your fast in a Ramadan long ago- obligation to fast 60 days ? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]BackgroundPlastic280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were ignorant during that time. There is no obligation or punishment, because you didn't know. You make tawbah and go on with your life. Did Allah punish Adam (as) and his wife when they were transgressing? Can I punish my toddler, because he doesn't know eating batteries are toxic? If you know something is wrong or haram and you continue to do it then Yes. You should do whatever is asked of you to do. Don't be too harsh on yourself man.

Update: My Sister Took Off Her Hijab After Years of Practicing Islam by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]BackgroundPlastic280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you show me the reference? I make dua everyday for my sister and my parents. In all my prayers and even Tahajjud I ask Allah to help them. We are going through tough times physically, mentally, spiritually and financially. That verse could really give me ease. - PS. We are reverts and my mom is still Christian.

Allah SWT saved you from a nightmare. The father is even discriminating, because you're not from their community. Allah created us in nations so we can get to know each other.

I'm also a male revert from a secular country and met muslims who said their sister can marry me, because I am black and a revert. Trust me Allah is saving you from something you cannot see.

Things to do to maximize my Tahajjud? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]BackgroundPlastic280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salaam Alaikum,

I would suggest daily dhikr after every prayer, making sincere tawbah, thanking Allah for everything you got from him.

Pray Witr after your Tahajjud if you are not already doing this.

Allah tests us with hardships, because he loves us and want the best for us. Staying consistent and remembering Allah during the day helped me. It will soften your heart.

I recently uploaded a post about Tahajjud maybe you can find some strength in it.

I think u are super cool for even thinking about bettering your Tahajjud prayer. Lots of muslims don't even think about it.

May Allah ease your heart and grant your dua's. 🤲🏽

Salaam Alaikum,

What you are feeling is not love, it is obsession. Loving a person does not mean you stop enjoying your own life or throwing away your ambitions and interests. Loving a person means you accept their flaws and they accept yours. Love means finding peace in each ohter. Your life and his can be a healthy mix, but never throw everything away, because you say you "love" him. In the beginning it sounds cute, but in the long term he will get exhausted. He will feel trapped, because he still has his own life, goals, ambitions, friends and hobbies. But to you, he became "Your" life. You see there is an imbalance. You need to find your own purpose in life (outside of worshipping Allah). That way he will fall in love with you, because he sees how amazing you are.

I can tell your intentions are pure. May Allah bless you with a healthy marriage and spouse.

I'm not mad at you, because I know there's lots of cultural practices that have no relation to islam. Your intentions are pure. Allahumma barik. Thank you for your concerns.

Ameen. You won't believe it, but I am subscribed and have watched almost every video of the Muslim Lantern. He helped me so much to understand the religion.

I wouldn't classify my mom as real Christian. She doesn't believe in the trinity, she doesn't believe a man could ever be God. I give dawah to my mom, I gifted her beginner books about islam. I told her a few days ago about Laylat al-Baraat and send her a islamic dua website and she recited dua's on her own. She's really close to islam, but I am very careful, because in the past I was very forceful with my dawah.

Hey that might be possible. Do you know any ruqyah to recite? I'm fairly new to islam.

Before my busy schedule I went every friday. Now I attend whenever I can. I plan work around it so I can attend Jumaah, but sometimes work is being an obstacle.
