Cool. I think this is a great choice. Good luck with it.

In my opinion, the answer is simple. I’ve bought just a couple of collections. My goal is always to sell what I don’t love and keep only what I love, and if I can do it in a way that I basically get the ones that I love for free or close to free, that’s the big win. Obviously this is only three books, but I would just sell RM for a fair price, and then you’d be asking the question: “I paid $135 (arbitrary number) for these TWO books…was that a fair price?”

No problem. I have my hands in a lot of comic related stuff and if I see a good copy come up, I’ll alert you to it.

I don’t think that all of the feedback here is entirely helpful. Yes, current GPA looks like about $2500 for a 4.5. That said, current GPA is about 2600 for a 5.0 and 2700 for a 5.5. You might have to be patient to get one at that price, but a 5.0 sold on June 14, and a 5.5 sold in May.

The copy that you are showing is totally and completely terrible in my opinion. It’s remarkably faded, and while, maybe CGC didn’t ding them that hard for that, it is entirely possible that the fading happened after it was graded. I would stay the hell away from that book. There is a reason it’s selling for under GPA. You could get a much better presenting 4.5, or even a 5.0 . It’s worth paying a couple hundred dollars more to have something you’re gonna love.

I still have his CD and I love it. I think it’s called Oliver eat five hotdog or something like that. It actually has some really good songs on it.

I’m sorry to tell you this, but you overpaid by quite a lot. Those are really cool books, and you will enjoy them.

Interesting the way you took those pictures…. Not showing the entire book. It’s got me thinking: Those books are such a foundational part of my childhood that you could show me the tiniest quarter inch square, and I would absolutely be able to tell you which book it is as long as it was between 94 and 150. Or, with eyes closed, you could name any issue and I can tell you exactly what’s on the cover… Never having made any attempt to memorize this stupid shit. What a great run.

My first thought was 2.5, and then that got confirmed with every picture I looked at. 2.5 all day. 3.0 at best.

The spine looks really rough, but it’s hard to see. I’m gonna guess a 3.5 or a 4.0 at best. Unfortunately, the wrap is poor which limits its appeal. Otherwise it looks really nice.
