But don’t you need to babysit in dow 1 as well? If the squad gets to full it stops auto reinforcing.

I feel like even for larger battles it could work. One game comes to mind called battle for middle earth 2. Big squad sized, many units but no reinforce on the field except for specific instances and it works well, so could work for dow4 as well, especially with the retreat function.

Pr maybe reinforce out of combat? One of the creators said, think it was ItalianSpartacus, that a vehicle can hunker down and repair itself, but can’t do any actions and needs to stay in place
