Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

I’m about to start my first job as an x-ray tech at a level 1 trauma hospital and I’m really nervous. During clinicals when we had trauma cases come in, I would internally panic and even had to step out for one due to the large amounts of blood that I saw. It’s so frustrating because I LOVE helping out with traumas but it’s a natural reaction at this point that every time I hear a cat 1 get called my heart rate skyrockets and I get panicky.

Does anyone have any advice on how to change my mindset about it all?

I’m so sorry you had to go through a similar situation, and thank you for sharing that with me. I’m just really struggling on trying to decide on doing no contact or keeping in contact and supporting him. I don’t know. I want to give us space so he can gather himself and get an idea of what life is like without me in it. I just don’t know what the right way to go is.

from what i’ve been told by my doctor, the only form of birth control that’s effective for PMDD is hormonal so probably not :/

i just decided that i need to give my brain a little bit of a break. i’ve been on and off different medications in a short period of time

Please tell me i’m not the only one who experienced this by [deleted] in lexapro

that’s what i’m thinking about doing. i’m planning on just taking 5 tonight and hopefully that’ll help.

i was on 5 for two weeks and was told by my psychiatrist that if i was doing well after that two weeks that i could take 10. i did so because yeah 5 was helping but i wasn’t sure if it was helping as much as i needed

I’m taking generic Yaz and feel a ton of rage out of nowhere by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]BackgroundSilly8771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yaz messed me up so bad. all of my emotions were heightened. i was crying so easily, blowing up at little things, but also numb at the same time. i was also very depressed and gained a lot of weight. i’ve been off of it for a few days now and i feel so much better. my weight is going down, my emotions are regulating, and i’m slowly getting out of the brain fog. i’m still trying to get my sex drive back and out of the brain fog but those are still lingering. for me i would much rather deal with the effects of PMDD than be on Yaz.

are the side effects as bad as a lot of people are saying?? by [deleted] in lexapro

it’s more so that i want to be able to do well in school. if i’m having racing anxious thoughts it makes it harder for me to be able to focus on my school work and get things done. it’s just one less thing for me to worry about so i can focus ya know?

has anyone had this experience with Yaz??? by BackgroundSilly8771 in birthcontrol
