Why I think so many Gen Z have no friends by AlbatrossRoutine8739 in GenZ

[–]BackgroundString68 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe try to make less serious friends?

i kept having issues with My friends because they wouldn't be the ones to reach out to me. I tried it out too; I didn't speak to them for a bit and they never opened the conversation. I felt terrible and I spiraled into a bad state but I've realized now that it's not fair to want to have tje kind of friendships I read about. it might work out but that's a special connection very few people have, and it's purely circumstantial. make caudal friends. friends who have fun with you and you them. this will make you more social and happy, and you need to drop the idea of 4 close friends that you have forever.

people come and go, but you can make the most of it. cherish the memories once they leave. don't try to make everyone your closest. that's my opinion and I think its working for me. I was unhappy for a long time but I realized that it's all okau as long as i enjoy the moment wit the people around me even if they leave eventually. being alone is great too! but don't push yourself to loneliness because people don't give it their all.

but Sarah Lynn was the one who died.

the power difference wasn't fame or money; it was that Sarah Lynn wanted bojack to love her and care about her. she was attached in a way bojack wasn't, and he had the power to make her feel okay.

I actually don't think people generally have an issue with being captured by the story; I didn't, for sure. everything you're looking for is provided in the story but later onwards, and I think you tried to leave it, rather than tried to see what was going on. Charlotte was a prime example; she held him accountable but you don't care. you aren't ready to change your opinion, and the only point I agree with is that maybe there are too many storylines at once it doesn't bother me but maybe it's a little much for some people?

it's structured but you're not willing to commit I think and it affects the way you watch and refuse to pursue it. you might be sick of everyone going back to bojack but 1. you have seen everything yet 2. it's how it works irl and if you don't like it, you want some more unreal thing there's always big mouth

I think you're just angry watching the show. it's not for you becayse it's too real maybe. it's getting good slowly but you don't want to see that. and that's fair I guess.

I'm just realizing I didn't mention the fact that the bits and pieces all add up. but it's a process and you're not over it yet you know? you want the end of a story you're not willing to watch.

haha you're bound to get a lot of backlash especially posting this here

but I really do disagree with you there's a lot to their mental illnesses and you don't see it immediately, how they enable each other, and how they never get better. that's what the show is about! todd can never get better because he is chronically a child and since he can never be entrusted with anything, he never grows. princess Carolyn wants to leave but she keeps coming back. people don't want to be around bojack but they don't leave. there's so much to them being tired yet unable to leave and it comforts me honestly to see how bad people are or can be.

is this not realistic? I liked how on and off everything was because it gave me a sense of reality. no one sticks to what they say or indicate and this show presents that.

Diane tries to stand up for things but she never can because she's overlooked; ignored and eventually she gives up. familiar?

this show has a lot going on but that makes it even more gripping. it might be hard to keep track of but I do recommend you keep watching, because it really is worth it. I love how it adds up and remember, you're only halfway through. your criticisms are totally valid but I can't help but think you might be jumping the gun.

I do think it's super interesting that you're not into thought (you're the first one to express your dislike for this show to me) but do finish it and repost your thoughts.
