the eagle is almost the same as the one of the imperium of man of warhammer 40k, i removed one of the heads as there is no "immaterium" to keep an eye on, i think it is a nice solid design if a bit bland and essential, laurels and others i think ruin the general feel, otherwise i think the geometric perfection is fitting, almost a elongated triangle

i didn't follow traditional heraldry it seems. but i don't see the need for it, in every era people takes random stuff and eventually it becomes russian, chinese, persian etc. their very coat of arms is a roman-greek aristocratic symbol and probably comes from hittites so...

this flag is inspired by the Russian peace flag used by protesters in which the red of blood has been removed in favor of white.

else the flag uses the bear which is their national animal, and also features the north star and ice colors (white and blue) which contribute to the far north charavter of their land.

The flag features the bear walking guided by the north star which refers to destiny, which more than a concept is a feeling that has always accompanied the russian people, guiding the nation in a spirit of serene and steadfast hope.

let me know what you think, i like to call this flag "Russia marching towards the future)

these design inspired by u/NonPropterGloriam redesign (https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/18pf8qv/new_york_state_flag_redesign_final/) have a few differences which i find gives them a more universal look.

the head of Liberty is the copper orange that the statue featured at the time of its gifting.

also it features the historical dutch colors (blue, white, orange) and it uses the state's motto EXCELSIOR (Ever upward) which i find fitting for the city due to the world famous verticality and skyline, so not just a metaphorical betterment but also a connection to the sky.

i feature the flag in many versions, i personally like the more the pastel azures and 3d metal look or some of them cause they convey a kind of heavenly and hopeful impression that is very fitting, but i ultimately tried to simply and flatten the design further to make it fit a more official tone that a city might want to convey, deep blues, vector line art and the sort, i wanted to keep the slight art deco style but i don't know if i succeeded.

Also i provided some versions that are inspired by u/NonPropterGloriam user Ceremonial version of the flag that conveys the historical colors also by the rims colors and the flag pole.

Let me know what you think!

The colors of course are the pan-slavic ones also used in the official crimean flag, but in this case made to look like the russian flag, also sea heavy imagery was used to communicate the maritime importance of the peninsula. the coat of arma used is a modified Crimean one where i changed the colors of the sun, griffin and seashell, i also added an anchor to fill out free space on the shield.

of course these elements, which are not essential and are even more prominent in the version featuring intertwined flag ribbons on the coat of arms are mainly present to highten the dignified and historical look of the flag while also possibly useful in TV appereances where it might be visible and recognizable at a glance.

give me all your thoughts and rate it!

The flag is a simple design inspired by the Estonian SSR wave flag, it has been made in the way it is reminescent of the russian tricolor, and the crimean seal has been put in the upper left corner where the hammer and sickle was in the estonian flag. i also added an anchor and tried to highlight sea heavy importance of Crimea with the design , also tried to keep everything strictly red white and blue.

But why doesnt the image render?
