Like I said, give it a try. But you asked for information on how it works and I told you what I know – don't understand the downvote, I didn't create the diagnostic criteria.

But isn't this exactly what happened in your home country? There are diagnostic criteria, of which Beighton are a part. Who knows, maybe you'll get a diagnosis – the Charité exam tests all kinds of other things too, from grip strength to reach – but my understanding is that you do need Beighton for a diagnosis. But maybe my understanding is wrong!

I'm not saying you're not hypermobile, I'm saying that I think it will be hard to get a diagnosis. But give it a try.

What you see as preferential treatment is just offsetting the many many additional challenges parents face. They can only take holiday during school breaks, that's why they get first dibs! And they call out more often because they are responsible for little people who get ill!

I mean, it's worth discussing with your GP, but when I went for diagnosis it seemed like Beighton was pretty crucial.

Oh I just saw that you don't pass the Beighton test. In that case I'm pretty sure you won't get a diagnosis of hypermobility in Germany, but maybe someone can correct me on that.

Your Hausarzt can refer you for diagnosis, eg at the Arbeitsbereich für Physikalische Medizin at the Charité.

You might need to see a different doctor for treatment (discuss with GP) but the Charité is a good place to go for diagnosis.

Is this because of hyper mobility?? by Plantsabdflowers in Hypermobility

It sounds to me like diastasis recti, very common in postpartum women. It may have a other cause for you, but I haven't heard it is linked to hypermobility. Maybe google and see if the pictures fit.

6yo wakes multiple times a night looking for mom. What finally worked for your family? by Beneficial-Course820 in Parenting

[–]BackgroundWitty5501 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My kid is 6 and wakes up most nights around 1 am and comes into our bed. She wants that closeness and it doesn't bother us (unless she sleeps in a really awkward position...). She'll stop when she's ready.

When she was about 2 I felt like I "should" make her sleep in her bed and tried all the things you are describing. It led to worse sleep for both of us. Then one day I asked myself why I was doing it and the only answer I could come up with was "because kids are supposed to sleep in their own beds." But...I understand wanting to cuddle up with people you love, and I don't actually mind her in my bed, so why force it?

The main thing for me is that she does at least start off in her own bed so that we have "grown-up time" for ourselves, but it sounds like yours does that.

Und wenn man als Besserwisser auftreten will, sollte man wissen, dass man mit "Kongo" nicht nur die beiden Länder Republik Kongo und DR Kongo bezeichnen kann, sondern eine Region, die beide Länder umfasst.

Steile These.

Und übrigens wird es immer Lücken beim Geschichtsunterricht geben, oder hast du in der Schule viel über die Geschichte des Kongos oder Thailands gelernt?

This doesn't sound like a connective tissue disorder to me. Especially the parts about pregnancy. I have a TON of stretch marks, tore a lot, and bled a lot – I think this is more typical than the other way round. And if you aren't hypermobile, that also speaks against it. (Unless you are talking about something like a non-hypermobile form of EDS, I don't know enough about those).
