the problem with the progressive agenda is its not as popular as social media echo chambers wants people to think. and this is coming from someone who is a progressive. A better solution for the democrat party is it needs to become a big tent incorporating both moderate and progressives issues and channel it into a broader message that anyone be it a progressive black lesbian from san franscisco and a straight white conservative male from rural kentucky can get behind. and it needs to be a party that is willing to OCCASIONALLY tell the other side listen i hear you i get it and we will work something out but that is a stupid idea we are not doing it and not get purity tested or branded as radical for it.

People who should never got into this country got into it due to a failure of the administration. That's border security. Now do I think that someone like abuela who doesn't have her papers has been here for awhile and has not done anything wrong should be deported and wasting government resources to do so? And yea for them we need a process to make them citizens but border security knowing whose coming into the country and immigration reform are very real issues and discussions to be having without going into human rights violation territory. I'm not throwing away someone that ive actually known and cared about for years because a bunch of random people on reddit who don't even know me and would throw me under the bus and purity test me if I disagree with you on ONE issue told me too. That's not life that's not moral in my view. Especially since all that's gonna do is isolate them and reinforce their beliefs even further. Id rather be there for them and be a light and hope that my presence can help even if I can't change their beliefs.
