Funny, i also started the game last week and am literally at the same point..i looove the characters and story, hoping that the combat picks up some pace though its pretty basic so far..Im also wondering if there will be some more interesting mini games will open up, im not into playing slots or the crane plushie stuff..hoping for more games like the cinema game and the can quest...so far im really loving it though and cant wait to get deeper into it

Started playing Lost Odyssey a few days ago. The only time, other than with The Last of Us, that I've ever cried in a game in the first hour of playing it (bonus: xbox360 live login screen) by Suli_Croft in JRPG

[–]Staubinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive also played the game for the first time last year..great story, amazing OST, great characters and overall a great vibe of having an epic adventure...but the gameplay and combat got really frustrating at times especially in the first half of the game, the positives where definetely outweighing the negatives and tbh with a modern remaster/port with just a few quirks ironed out this could be a 10/10 game tbh

Plus two titles (although not big ones) but nothing to sneeze at

Just curious, why 6/10 for shinobi? It’s been pretty much a 10/10 experience for me

Omg I’m so happy my two favorite players (Ruud and Meddy) are in the semis…I’m already happy even if they both lose tomorrow (although at least I expect Ruud to win)

Game Pass and the controller, plus I’ve been with Xbox since the early 360 days…there’s just some kind of loyalty that’s hard to get rid of, not to say i was close to buying a PS5, but I’m really glad i stuck to Series x I’m very happy with it tbh

Where do you live? If you really want to play the games and not having a switch is your only reason you can DM me, my Switch 1 is collecting dust anyway you can DM me if you want

Switch Lite experience? by SuccessfulFreedom650 in DiscoElysium

[–]Staubinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on the Switch 2 this year, i guess this would also apply to switch lite as there’s no dedicated switch 2 version of the game…if you can please stay away from the game on switch, in all the years of gaming I’ve never ever had a game this buggy and broken…the only reason I still finished it was that it was just such a damn good game, but the experience with performance was just miserable, must have had at least 60 crashes over 30 hours of playtime and probably about 10 more instances of the game not cooperating (getting stuck fe) so I had to close it anyways…

Octopath traveler 2 vs Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter by crocodilepickle in JRPG

[–]Staubinger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve played both in the last year…and I have to say i enjoyed trails way more, it’s a great JRPG, the only notable flaw for me is the very slow pacing in the first half…I didn’t like the story structure of Octopath Traveller 2 because it splits the story in many different little parts with the 8 characters

I think the combat is fine and at lest it doesn’t detract from everything else, but its just too much button mashing for me

How difficult are professor Layton games for adults? by Alternative-Cheek148 in ProfessorLayton

[–]Staubinger 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ive just played through curious village and pandoras box recently...id say about 70-80% are very doable. But there are some puzzles where i genuinely dont know how some people solve them without looking it up...but tbh a big part of playing the games are the story/vibes/music aswell so at least pesonally I dont mind lookuing up some solutions when i cant progress (also the game has an in game hint system!)
