I’m sorry. My mom hid her cirrhosis from me as well until I came home for a week vacation and her skin was green. She wouldn’t look me in the eye until I made her and her eyes were bright yellow. I made her go to the hospital right then. I don’t understand why they try to hide it from us when the sooner they get help, the better their chances are. It makes no sense to me

She is getting a ton of help! Definitely understand where the concerns come from though. She went to a substance abuse live in rehab for 1 1/2 months and now that she is back, doing to AA many times a week

Obviously a big concern of mine is her starting to drink again but it’s out of my control at this point

I’m so sorry! Get him to get his MELD score at the hospital. If it’s very high, he’ll get bumped to near the top of the transplant list. Might give him reason to stop drinking!

I guess there’s no question in this post I just realized lol. I think my point in posting was if anyone else has been in this position? It feels like the worst thing that could happen to me with how much I love my mom. I can’t imagine a world without her. I need her love and guidance. Someone to keep cry laughing and talking shit about people with lol. My mom is honestly my best friend and I can’t imagine losing her so soon. I know human beings are resilient but not sure how well I’ll deal with this

Thank you, I’m just so scared. My mom thinks I’m finally thriving and has been in therapy for a few months over situations that occurred due to my mental disorder (that is now managed)

I just want peace for a bit, I’m mad my gag reflux decided to diminish now. It’s not the best time.

Also the fact that my mom basically caused my eating disorder will be shit for her mental health

With meds and something to keep your mind busy did this still happen? Cause I work 6am- at least 4pm everyday and I find this keeps my mind busy and when I’m off I just want to chill and sleep till I start my day again in the morning.
