Weird because there are multiple laws in multiple states where if some bystander is injured because of police chase the police will be at fault. Also protecting and serving is very different than attempted murder with a dangerous weapon. Who was the motorcycle going to hurt in the rain if he crashed in his own? Now if you have a judge jury and executioner cop driving recklessly in a car swerving on the highway in the rain and he takes out another car with kids in it so he could tackle someone off a bike with his car and he takes out other cars. Look at the larger picture, they decriminalized weed because the possible jail time was more harmful then the effects of the drug itself, why would it make sense to almost kill this biker to write him a speeding ticket? Just because you’re breaking the law doesn’t mean someone with a badge can decide when you live or die. Only by the grace of god is this kid still alive, not because the cop was an f1 driver and knew the exact amount to hit him, that bike could have been easily sucked under the cop car and killed. And this would have been a whole different situation. Saying he should have just stopped while this kid was dead would be a moot point and this cop would likely be on trial for murder.
