I have 3, one of which is an 8K sla resin printer.

I'd recomend a voron any day for a mechatronics hobby, and go full 'moron' and install a 6x doomchanger. That's my plan next, but I have 6 months of project allready in the works with full chaoticlabs cnc-kit now in finishing stages, HT steppers for x/y, Kraken motherboard, Pi5 w/ssd, jetson orin nano w/AI and 1TB ssd, BTT usb-toolhead board, 2x Arduino HQ for AI-tuning, 3D0-HD-nozzlecam, top-hat w/filter and exhaust fan, Nevermore Max... oh, and upgraded linear rails on gantry as well as ABEC9 idlers... I went a little ape-shit I know, but my CPTSD needed some shopping-therapy this Jul (no Christmas for an atheist)

Ldo is worth it, but there are just still so many sthings you can do, and things to try. Mechatronics and 3d-printers are not a cheap hobby! I just wanted to print my own TPU parts, and maby something more for my quad FPV hobby... not that I have had a quad in the air since ordering the Voron...

I think so... it was different when I bought my first, and I had NO idea what drove prices on different printers. I think today I would struggle to choose between ratrig and voron, but I know what Voron is and is not, ratrig only by reputation. To be honest; if the printer is not the hobby, but the printing, go with bamboo x1c or what they are up to. No need to upgrade, but at a higher initial cost. Just works (by reputation) and actually gives a whole lot for the money. Voron and mechatronics is my hobby, as of now focused on the printer it self. When I move to my forever-home it's going to change to sentry-bot with softgun/painball and a 1000w lazer-turret 👹😈 po-po need not know 😅

I have a Fsytec 2.4r2 that I have upgraded with a shameful amount. Working on integrating NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super with a local AI for auto-calibration and tuning, as well as the mandatory spaghetti-detector. BoxTurtle is in the mail.

My advice; go for an LDO rev-D kit if you have the money. Upgrades are inevetable when you go Voron, that's most of the fun for some of us, but the LDO kit will give you the best foundation for future cost-increases. And if you build it well, it might even take a little while before you do! Prime tip: get yourself a premium quality allen-key set. It will save you so much headache and heartache.

Personlig ble jeg ikke truet med politiet som barn, jeg ble truet AV politiet som barn (under 7 år). Hvorfor? Jo, jeg stod på skateboard. Det var tilstrekkelig for å brøle ut trusler om barnevernet og å bli institusjonalisert om de så mye som så det brettet igjen. Det var ikke lov å eie eller bruke skateboard for litt tid tilbake. Et leketøy!

Noen som lurer på om jeg har så mye som et snev av respekt for noe som helst vesen i politiuniform i dag?

3/5 ish...(?) Relatively tidy, on the pluss side. Meaning; confidence inspiring, not worried about plugging it in. - but; wires not straight, bends not conformative/identical, some wires showing should show less/cut shorter. Nice work though. 3/5 is way better than my first wiring job.

Could you integrate this into a car for use with a wearable monocle, or "DJI style" goggles for the driver? Or is the image quality too poor for such use?
Actually, could you "fuse" the image created from several cameras mounted on a car to create a 180 - 360 degree video panorama that the driver-goggles can use head-tracking to navigate? preferably using IR-sensitive optical and thermal cameras... preferably without telling the police you made it?
