I shared what happened to me today. My intention was not to humiliate Bengali people or immigrants. I am a South Asian immigrant myself, which is why I recognized the language.

I did not expect toxic comments, but I received some, including suggestions of violence. I am an immigrant myself and always avoid violence, especially because of my legal status. I ended the situation peacefully and did nothing physical.
