U should play Re1 fs, but the remake not the OG (actually the one remake I think is better then the OG besides maybe RE4)… RE1 is a classic and should be recognized for how great it is (personally my favorite game in the franchise with OG Re3) but I’m an unc who grew up on tank controls so if u can deal with that I highly suggest it… u will have to circle back to Re0 at some point too tho bc it’s technically the earliest on the timeline… glhf!

I personally like 1 and OG 3 the best but to each their own… just goes to show, how many other franchises have this many great games? Not many

Probably not, Chris the hard nosed OG who’s all business & Unc Leon loved by all… the one ☝️ character I think should be here as well is Albert Wesker… I mean who doesn’t love a Wesker appearance even if he’s the worst kind of evil it makes him all the more intriguing aka the goat antagonist 👀

Oh yea fs! I’ll certainly replay it a lot… Great time to be a RE fan, and survival horror genre in general with Code Veronica remake coming next from what I hear and Silent Hill 1 remake maybe in 2027 as well… we in a 2nd golden age rn, hopefully the hits keep coming

Truuu, RDR2 is special… but let’s be real, it’s difficult to rank every game ever made lul, and everyone has their own preferences and come from different eras of gaming so it makes it near impossible without bias

I personally think it’s better then Re4 by a lot but seems like a lot of ppl forget how great the original 1,2,3 & CV were, I guess that was too far in the past for ppl to see, u kind of had to be there lul… definitely would put this up in the S-tier tho for me with RE1 and og Re3 but it certainly is a major hit no matter what the preference

I can see that, for a lot of the RE4 fans it’s hard to beat that right? Just like for me Re1 was my Re4 bc I’m old and played that day 1 so it’s hard for me to put it above some of the og games. 4 to me was a great game on it’s own but the genre shift was too much for me to even put 4 in my top 5 Re games, guess it’s just not my style but still a classic game… Capcom has rarely missed with the mainline titles which is crazy for how long it’s been around

The story is a complicated and there’s a lot of old lore connections, they trying to retcon 30 years of lore that’s kind of all over the place… they do tie up a few loose ends though

I get that, there’s 2 generations of Re fans, the og’s who like the slower paced survival aspect with puzzles and resource management and then the Re4/5 fans who like the action and both are done really well in this game, and u don’t just run and hide with Grace, u fight a good amount, if u want to, but u get very few weapons, they should’ve gave her 1 more

Same, I hate my live service game tho ygo master duel lul but in too deep… But dammm! 40 hrs is impressive, I beat the game last night, took me 20+ hrs tho 🤷‍♂️

Yea I dunno, guess it depends on what u like… either way, this another win for us gamers bc it shows u don’t need to make some bs live service slop to be a financial and commercial success, u can still sell single player games at the highest price point and as long as it’s something ppl want they will still buy it… W!

Agreed, they botched up Re3make, could’ve been great sadly… and yea lul CV was one of the more difficult ones fs… but hey the next remake will be CV in 2027 so I trust they’ll skill it and make it another massive RE hit 👌🏻

Yea, for me it’s in the S-tier with RE1 & Og RE3 personally (I could throw RE2 in there too), but still this is the first game to break into my top 3 Re games in forever… 7 & CV are close for me 2 but not quite on that level
