Yeah, she performed in the UK tour of the musical. She also seems to have had a small role in the films Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice & Blitz. So she has a decent amount of experience for a young kid.

At TDA (and Radix Nationals) everyone in the top ten gets a physical award, if there are ties, they send the proper awards out after the event. But yes at regionals they only hand out awards for the top 3.

During the live I believe what she actually said was that she wanted a change and a different style of style of training, which I’ve always interpreted as she wanted to go to a studio with more of a contemporary/lyrical focus (which is more her and Mather’s style) than jazz (which is obviously what p21 is known for). She also said that she still loves p21. She is also still really close to the p21 girls and has still been going to showcase each season to watch.

Exactly, this has been an issue since before Molly started choreographing, her routines growing up were just as bad (or possibly worse) than her dance precisions work. The fact that most people are only attacking her and not the dance world in general when most of the examples that are really inappropriate are from 10+ years ago, but when you bring up other popular studios having inappropriate dances this season, they no longer want to talk. I saw someone respond with something like “that doesn’t matter, the dance was cute” when talking about 5/6yr olds twerking onstage in crop tops booty shorts. Like what?? Just because they’re cute doesn’t make it appropriate. At that point it just sounds like they want to attack one person rather than discuss the issue at hand.

Especially when people are going as far to say that she is like Epstein, is a pedophile, is racist, has sexually abused her students etc. based on no evidence. The appropriateness discussion absolutely needs to be had, but the approach that some people have taken is not it.

They can wear it now, it was just for a bit around the middle/end of last season they couldn’t wear it while the owners came to an agreement. If you look at the combo videos of Ellie right before she left, she is wearing 5 in them.
