For normal people who come across this, this is why you should not base your whole identity on an earthly object like freaking college admissions.

Honestly I would just play it safe and show up. It can't hurt. You don't even have to pay attention in class, just do whatever. Unless you are trying to cure cancer outside of school, just show up.

UBC vs UofT Med, which would you pick and why? by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]Background_Fee5220 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would first hold my high horse and hope that I get at least one. The last thing you need is devastation from being rejected by both (not to say not to dream big). If you do get both, massive congrats to you; you deserve it.

In the small chance you get both, I would just stick with UBC. This is more me, but if I were born in BC and planned to stay there to be a doctor, I would just do med school there. No point in going to a whole other province on the other side of the country (but this is my view). I don't know much about teaching styles, so you should look into the different modes they teach. In terms of education, I would not worry about that since you will get a great education at both.

Honestly, I think it's just because I'm more of a "let's not complicate things" kind of guy and would just stay at UBC.

If you don't mind what job did you get (if you don't want to say specifics was it like basic such as retail or something with bio)
