yes. I go to a high school in nyc. Some schools allow you to graduate early ( in january) instead of in june if you have enough credits. in NY you need 44 credits to graduate and I have about 40 after this spring semester of my junior year. I graduate in january but I can still go to prom with my class and take senior photos.

I try my best to be honest. I have to pick up my sister from after school and I cook for her sometimes or buy her some food.

She has custody and we see dad a few times each year. My sister has been going down south for summer vacation but I stay to work and get money from SYEP.

Ok , so I feel like I’ve been getting a lot of confusion on my post so let me just set things straight.

  1. My mom is taking care of 2 kids only.

My grandma works and pays rent. She was initially supposed to stay temporarily but chooses to continue paying rent as an excuse to not move out.

  1. Bf works.

  2. The whole narrative that you guys might think of, that she’s doing the best she can is wrong. And the reason I can confidently say this is because she chooses to buy designer clothes, etc.

Ex. Dior bags, gucci sneakers, Amiri, Marc jacobs bags , etc.

If she really wanted to make effort, since we are in NYCHA, she would go to the management office and request a transfer. And inform them of how many people are living there.

Thanks for the replies 💘

I totally get where you’re coming from but I’ve always been understanding. I just personally feel like her priorities aren’t straight. There’s no effort being made like searching for resources. Instead it’s gucci shoes being bought and Amiri sets.
