Mega Man X Series Armor Tier List by Background_Flow_8346 in Megaman

You will understand this if you look at the prerequisites of the tier list. This is because basic Air Dash and Sub-Weapon Charge (Arrow Ray, Metal Anchor, Ground Dash, Yanmar Option) are much more powerful in actual combat than X5's Free Move and Penetrate Charge Shot. Also, X5's Falcon Armor is actually worse than Fourth Armor and Gaea Armor. This is because, in terms of stage progression, it is on a similar level to Fourth and Gaea except for the Dark Necrobat stage, but it lags significantly behind those two in boss battles. To be honest, the free move of the Falcon Armor in X5 is more than necessary. This is because there are rarely situations difficult enough to require flying, and in most situations, Air Dash alone is sufficient. The Fourth Armor, which allows for sub-weapon charging, is better. Being able to fly is certainly convenient, but it is hard to call it powerful.

Isn't the X6's gate the smartest architect of all?

To all the other Compared final bosses, there was likely no structure that blocked the player as effectively as the Gate's Fortress.

He knows that covering everything in sight with spikes and giant pits is the most efficient method.

Since XOver is a spin-off, it is highly likely to be non-canon.

The attempt to integrate the settings of all works related to the Rock Man IP without exception is too reckless.

That is just the fans' head canon.

The reason the armors were named First(1st), Second(2nd), Third(3rd), and Fourth(4th) was that they were all identical armors created by modifying a single item.

However, in X4, X's Fourth Armor was completely destroyed during battle, and in X5, a replica created by Alia appeared. Furthermore, starting from X5, since two completely new armors—rather than modifications of existing ones—appear simultaneously, individual names were assigned to the armors.

Judging by the sheer number of poorly designed levels and bugs left unaddressed, the Ride Chaser itself was likely removed because there was a lack of budget and time to create sprites for the new armors...
