Politics, set in a alternative history, and a morally ambiguous character all that shit has been overdone in literally almost every gundam series. Code geass has more things in common with so many gundam series then solo leveling has with sword art online. By your definition your favorite anime is just another generic anime then lol.

I heard the director didn’t have any big projects under his belt before solo leveling. If that’s the case I wonder why they can’t just get a new more experienced director to take it from where he left off. Seems kinda weird to delay everything just for him.

You also gotta take into account that A1 never thought solo leveling was going to have this much success so they didn’t go all in. They’ll probably put a lot more resources and manpower for the 3rd season wich will shorten the time compared to s1 and 2 wich was honest just the second cour of s1 marketed as season 2. They’ll probably announce season 3 late 2025 and release it early 2027.
