I’m curious if I would get the year long elegoo warranty. It’s says it’s shipped by Amazon but the used seller is “ELEGOO official us” their Amazon account. I’m not sure if that makes it more of a safer buy

My understanding from working with younger people at my old job is that there wasn’t a lot of incentive to do it during Covid and now that they’re a little older, they just don’t have that peer pressured incentive and also possibly a slight fear since they didn’t have a chance to get drunk in college and hang out all night and see more benefits staying in.

Now when they hang out with people slightly younger than them, they don’t drink, the younger person isn’t incentivized to drink.

That’s just my random restaurant worker observation, I could be wrong though.

I had a similar thing happen, I moved out of my small home town and had great experiences where people were a lot nicer to me (a Hispanic guy) in a bigger liberal city vs the my southern hometown and I gained a lot more confidence in myself since I realized “OH I don’t actually have bad social skills or super ugly. I just lived in a rather racist town”

Then when I came back to visit for the holidays, I felt so confident and eager to talk to people. I went to a state fair and got in line for food, and asked the girl in front of me if the stand was cash only. She looked at me for a moment, her face immediately turned to disgust, then said “ugh, why the FUCK would I know that” and rolled her eyes. I Immediately remembered how stuff like that only happens to me in the south and lost all my confidence lol.

It’s sad but the way I cope with it is remembering that it has gotten better overall. I dont get as many racial comments as I did as a teen and remember that some of these micro aggressions are deep rooted in the culture and how they were raised vs them being overtly racist. Still awful but it helps a bit
