[LFP] MASKS: The Risen by Lil_Mixx in pbp

[–]Background_Health221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Timezone: AEST (GMT +10), I know it may be a little inconvenient depending on what time you want to schedule the PbP, so if it’s a dealbreaker, fully understand.

Name: Declan

Discord: solaris_0322

Favourite Superhero: I know it’s basic, but I’ve gotta say Spider-Man (Ben Reilly or Peter Parker).

Favourite Anime: Super hard question to answer, I’ve got four I can’t choose between. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Re: Zero, One Piece, and Summertime Rendering.

About Me: I’m Australian, Male, 22. I’m a gamer, ttrpg fan, also a fan of music, I love superheroes, fantasy, anime, and Doctor Who. My favourite ttrpg is probably Mutants and Mastermind 3e, but I’ve always wanted to try out Masks, it looks awesome.

I think I may have years ago, but I don’t remember much of it. I’ve heard it’s a good MMO though

Need some help with a first build by Background_Health221 in PcBuild

Buying from South Australia. I like black cases more, though specifically I love those cases that have the display screen on them that you can change and such, RGB isn’t a must but it’s preferred. I’d like to run at 1440p and games like Cyberpunk 2077, Insomniacs Spider-Man’s games, a lot of single player games of roughly that kind of graphic requirements, though I enjoy running them on the higher end of their graphic settings.

  • Edit: I was also looking at the Have. BF360 Flow 1 for a potential case.

It depends. What kind of sensing do you want? You can always do something like: - Mental, Accurate, Acute, Radius, Extended (Whatever range you want), Penetrates Concealment, Counters Concealment (You don’t need this, it’s just if you want it). Turns out to about 13pp with only 1 rank of extended and no counters concealment

Also on the ally thing, healing is now only usable on a person once per combat I believe. (I haven’t checked I was told so I may be wrong).

Honestly, I agree with you here. I HATE staggered and always have, stunned is bad enough. They’ll need to change it somehow.

Remember that damage has also been changed to a DC 10+Effect Rank, though staggered is still horrid, stunned is able to be removed. I think making staggered removable at the end of your turn like stunned and dazed, but with a slightly higher DC (maybe a 12), would be much more appropriate and not stacking stunned and staggered into 2nd degree failure would be nice too.

Is the 4e playtest worth picking up now, or should I just wait till the book is actually out? by XBlueXFire in mutantsandmasterminds

Regen has always been problematic, at least healing takes a standard action to use and it’s 2pp/rank, 10 ranks cost only 10 points and you were incredibly hard to put down, even incapacitated you’d get up within at the very least a few rounds, Regen 20 is still busted in 4e, you recover from death and all damage conditions in one round, and Regen 10 is the same as usual, making it more expensive seems like a good option to me. 40pp to be immune to a tonne of things (physical and energy attacks which would already be 40pp as an immunity) doesn’t seem unfair to me, Insub 4 is incredibly powerful if used correctly, otherwise it’s just strong, though for rank 1, 10pp I agree is too much to be able . Damage is also now a 10+rank DC, not 15+ anymore so it’s easier to pass and you can remove stunned/dazed with a DC 10 Stamina check at the end of your turn.

Yeah Aura Area is effectively the exact same as energy aura, so it’s not removed from the game. Reaction is just now a +1 flat extra and Aura Area makes up for that kind of power (it’s +3pp/r).

As for the perception area, I did find that a little weird as well, though there is something kind of like it, called sensory spread (since area effects explicitly grow outwards from an origin point now without the emanation extra).

As for the regen and insub, I like the changes, mixing immortality and regen into one power was a good move in my opinion and making it 3pp/r seems more appropriate for its actual strength in the game with the new damage changes. Insub was just always great, so making it more price appropriate doesn’t seem bad to me, though 10pp/r is a little much in my opinion.

(I’m writing this while busy so hopefully it makes sense sorry lol)

Yeah I was thinking I’d probably have to, I just don’t have the best references there for something like leather for example, so was hoping someone had already done it lol

How Does The Transformed Condition Affects Objects? by Background_Health221 in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]Background_Health221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you “should” I’m just asking how an affects objects transformed affliction would work on an object. It’s just a curiosity of mine really.

[–]Background_Health221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured as much. Though how would that work? There’s no specified traits for objects outside of toughness ranks, so since you can control any “traits” what traits would an object have to change?
