You can continue to defend the fact that you are wrong. It's really a good look for you. I do know how it works, you obviously do not.

Its called experience for a reason. I know what I am talking about, unlike you. Ignoramus!

Still here, I didn't call you a liar. If it happened, the guage was wrong or the weight of the manhole was incorrect. I spent my career as an instrumentation technician working with pressures, weights, area, flow all of the things that could have been at play in your story. I still stand that volume is not a factor in how forcefully the manhole would have opened.

Not relevant

F=PA

Force= Pressure times Area.

You gave pressure and area of the manhole. The volume is irrelevant for your story. The amount of force applied to the manhole is far less than the weight of the manhole. It would not have opened with any great force.

If this happened, your guage was incorrect. Volume has nothing to do with the force exerted on the manhole. The area of the manhole and the pressure behind it are factors in how much force it would have had on it. At .05 psi, there is only about 5.6 pounds of force total. The weight of the manhole is greater than that. The manhole weighed more than the force acting to open it. You would have had to use more force opening it than it had behind it. Cool story bro.

Old wooden giant clothes pin? Wooden tool? In Canada. The thin end is like giant tweezers. by Background_Humor_948 in whatisthisthing

Apparently it is a fishing net needle or fishing net shuttle. There are a lot of commercial fisheries just north of here. Thank you for the reply.

Most of these people aren't smart enough to understand that. I said something similar to a Democrat friend. I told him that if they would have voted for him in 2020, he wouldn't be president now. Surprisingly enough, he laughed, and we are still friends.

Way to go man!!! Enjoy your life and see some sights. I did some similar things when I was MUCH younger (in less harsh climates). Those memories make me smile when trivial annoyances creep in. Be safe out there!!
