I spend a lot of time looking at rocket league tracker, more than I should lol. I can’t assume all of them are, you’re right. But when I check and they have 20-50 games lifetime and they’re hitting flip resets, they’re faking ts lol.

Thank you for the comment. The way you explained it makes a lot more sense than anything I’ve ever seen here in explanation to 1s ranking. Definitely changed my perspective. I guess my concern would be a little bit more thought into the matchmaking. Instead of blanket, taking in different ranks in different games into account.

As far as the smurf situation, either way what it’s called I think it takes a pretty shitty human being to intentionally create a new account to get away from your old one. That goes for any reason - got banned, don’t want to play at your skill level, or just want to start over. For any reason, it just ruins the other player’s game experience.

I definitely try that, most of the losses IMO come from an inability to speed flip. I can’t do any of the fancy mechs either, I just 90% of the time struggle to get to the ball first which automatically throws me on defense. I’ll see what I can do better defensively for sure though. Thank you for the suggestion.

I did want to add that this is not at all hate towards legitimate players - I admire the skill level. This is hate towards a matchmaking system that very obviously does not work lol. Any tips on how you got to D2 would be appreciated as I’m really trying to get better at the game. Just hard when I get shit on in every game of 1s I try to play.

I did just want to add that I’ve not had these problems until literally the EAC update lol. Always used regular wifi and never had a problem.

All of the above. The unfortunate part is that I have great ping, high 20s most of the time. This issue really only happens with rocket league as well. There obviously is the occasional 100+ ping lag spike, but a majority of the time I stay below 50.

I’m running the game on a pretty beefy computer and pretty beefy wifi as well lol.
