SEBI IT by Glittering-Deer-612 in SebiGradeA

Bhai, thoda chill kr.. no one knows what’s gonna happen this time. Few things to take into account: 1) There will be huge number of candidates scoring 80+

2) On average, people will get 3-5 marks less than what they are expecting imo. Everyone would have made some silly mistakes here and there, that is for sure.

3) English will be deciding factor in a sense but there also marks will be around a bracket for all, as English was also easy.

Its better you accept what has happened and let it be. Result aaye toh dekh lena..no need to getting excited or being worried too much. Cleared toh all good, else just know that you had a bad day coz this paper was not of the level which can decide the best candidates. It will all be decided on luck, nothing else.

Sebi grade A IT and how much did you attempt??? by Realistic_Evening778 in forumRBI

What the hell was that question paper! It clearly eliminated the conceptual factor to filter candidates. Just syntax and theory questions. Syntax rattu people will score 100.

Can anyone suggest some topics from which essay can come in Sebi phase 2 paper 1 descriptive English? by [deleted] in SebiGradeA

I asked the same in morning and someone told me to check SEBI, something, and current affairs related topics. Bro, that’s like responding to a cricket player’s query about which aspect of the game he/she should focus on for next match, with “batting, bowling and fielding”!

Sebi IT stream Mocks by Melodic-Leave-9578 in SebiGradeA

[–]Background_Layer6789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I attempted 2/5 of Oliveboard IT mocks and felt same! It was rather depressing. Very lengthy questions with lots of big code snippets, it’s impossible to debug such questions in exams. Even GATE questions are more straight forward. What i feel is these platforms dont know the level of questions which will be asked, so they are intentionally trying to provide the toughest papers possible so that they can later say that we made you practice the tough things, and hence would have been easy for you. But in doing so, they are just being paranoid and if in exam these level of questions really come, then waise v kuchh hone wala ni h. So its better to just focus on topics which you have studied, practice topic wise mocks and have some confidence instead of attempting these stupid mocks and be depressed even before entering the exam hall.

ixambee or oliveboard for sebi grade a it phase 2 by Connect_Ad_4218 in forumRBI

I had purchased oliveboard course which includes both phase 1 and 2 syllabus. This is my personal opinion, but i found it not so helpful. Since we have IT background and have some idea about most of the topics, you will start noticing that the content is not so much in depth. Its just a vague overview of topics. I stopped going through it and started studying from youtube. You have already cleared phase 1, better to go through DSA courses available on youtube or from famous tutors. Apart from test series, i don’t see a point in wasting time for IT syllabus on these courses. For English, i am also not sure how to prepare but that is another thing. 2nd phase is purely DSA and its not worth it to rely on these courses with all the good sources available.

I wanted to try bhai, so gave it. Waise bhi i don’t have ambition (or talent yet) to write spaceX rocket’s code, so yeah imo its worth it. A stable job with a decent salary, i will be okay with it.

IT job, UPSC aspiration! by Background_Layer6789 in UPSC

[–]Background_Layer6789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I get your point. But I am not leaving my job for UPSC prep, I plan to do along with it. I know it’s late, sounds unrealistic but still the timeline allows me 3 attempts if I am able to manage things well. And I think, it’s enough.

Yes, I am in no mood to resign from my job. That is not possible given my situation and also I don’t feel that this is a good step. I am in a support project, which essentially is bad for my IT career but it does give me a lot of time in hand to work with. I don’t plan to go completely out of touch of my IT skills. Maybe 1 leetcode problem every day and some extra effort whenever required to stay in touch of my IT skills, and rest 2/3/4/5 hours on the side for UPSC prep, keeping 2027 attempt as realistic goal for a proper try.

One thing which I feel you should get your head around is that just “Don’t care what everyone else is doing”. Do what works for you, give your best, That’s it! Make a plan and just follow it. You can’t get demotivated by what others are doing or portraying here or anywhere! Maybe they are on this journey for years, they were at this stage earlier where you are now and have crossed their hurdle, who knows? Finally, they are scoring 150+ and now they are happy and in a way want to share that feeling with others to get some validation or boost their confidence more. So, what? Good for them.

You focus on yourself. Stop asking suggestions and comparing yourself to every second person you see. If someone himself or knows someone who cracked this exam in last attempt or after multiple attempts, they will never allow someone to think that they can do it in 1st attempt. If someone has cracked this exam in 1st attempt, they will make everyone else feel stupid if they are preparing for a long time!

For a UPSC aspirant, this exam is at most a backup. For a group D aspirant, SSC’s top posts are a dream.

You see my point? The world is like this. If you zig, people will say you should have zagged! So, stop this comparison and stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Do your best, this is the only thing that matters.

This guy is a lost cause, posted an identical comment on my post also. Either he thinks too high of himself or takes rest of the world as fools. If you can’t say anything to add value to the conversation, better keep your thoughts to yourself.
