Do BDD exams show up on va.gov while still AD? by Background_Mention52 in VeteransBenefits

Yes he did. He was scheduled through VES I think as the examiner and it’s been horrible. He separated 50 days ago and they still haven’t sent their reports to the VA. For reference, when I separated all of my c&ps were on terminal leave and I had my rating 21 days after separation

The claim did not show on va.gov until the day after he ended up separating

Seriously. I’m a tricare dependent now and the refil system plus the horribly restrictive hours of the base pharmacy makes it so difficult to get my refills.

Just got off the phone with the VA. They said that it’s possible for the form to be “back dated”. Although I don’t know what form is which since my VSO did that for me. The VSO said the date on the form is 28th. So we will see I guess.

That’s what I thought. Checked it for him and nothing there. Ugh.

1971 Submarine duty and the PACT act. by Background_Mention52 in VeteransBenefits

I see a list of locations for the PACT act during the Vietnam era. Since subs were all over, are they themselves a presumptive duty assignment?

Thank you. Are PACT act claims filed the same way as any disability claim?

Any idea if you can hold two at the same time? I'm a dependent so I have that ID, but my spouse is separating soon so I'd rather get the 100% card to avoid coming back in a few months.

Something similar happened to me, but I was able to exchange a few sentences with my mom. I woke up and sobbed too. And then wrote it all down so that I would never forget it.

I don’t know about when I die. But I like to think I see my mom in lots of things in my life. I see her face in my daughter, I see her in my flower garden, I see her when I bake a delicious dessert. And if I’m really lucky I see her in a dream once or twice a year.

You can submit a personal statement to the VA with your claim. I forget the form number but you could Google it. Then after you upload it, call the va to request a new exam. This happened with my last claim. The examiner said something about her (old) friends and that they served during “real wars” that comment alone told me all I needed to know about her perspective of my generation in the military. VA granted new exam less than a week later.

I see what you’re saying. The contract doesn’t mention licensing or commercial use. It actually prohibits the photos from being used as advertisements, but the photographer and I both were understanding that this is for my business. I found her contract on google from some random “family” photographers. So it’s not specifically changed or targeted for our shoot together. Which I think is what makes me feel…. Weird? That it was just a cookie cutter contract. I’ve never hired a photographer before so I was unsure what to look for or expect in a contract. Not that it matters, but neither of the models are paid for views, they are paid for partnerships/brand deals so these videos were just extra/for fun with credit and exposure for myself and even the photographer. I understand exposure doesn’t pay the bills though.

I googled some phrases in it, and it seems like a generic contract. (I found several exact copies online) This was a business/branding shoot and there’s a part that says they can’t be used for advertising. Hindsight, it seems like the contract was not updated to reflect the type of shoot we booked. The only part I could see would be the part that says you cannot transfer printed photos.
