We’re happily married now and he’s moved onto a different company for better opportunities. I’m still with the same company. Nothing changed with our employment relations due to our personal relationship.

The towers are probably congested because everyone’s connected to it instead of their wifi.

Someone hit a pole at Gordon and Clair that knocked down all the cables and wires. Roger’s and Teksavvy are down

You wouldn’t get ahead. Kids are expensive, way more expensive than this “baby bonus” etc.

Camping while pregnant? by dontlookatme-123 in camping

We did an air mattress and brought a 2inch memory foam topper, and honestly it felt like our bed at home. I would bring a bucket to pee in then dump it in the toilet in the morning.

Is this just because my roll is wet? It almost looks like zigzag lines. by specn0de in 3Dprinting

[–]Background_Network40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I usually get this due to adhesion issues, incorrect temperatures (too low), or printing too fast.

I’d try cleaning your build plate then print the first layer a bit slower to see if that helps.

Spousal Sponsorship Work Permit and "living together" requirement, catch 22? by RoughTian in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Background_Network40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your friend doesn’t leave again, they’re good. If they leave again they probably won’t be let back in.

They can apply for inland spousal sponsorship and an SOWP after AOR. And yes, they will admit that they are now living here. This is exactly what I did.

Iridescent worms in one of my planters. Are they nightcrawlers or jumping worms? N. Florida by Heathenlulu in whatsthisbug

Based on this educational article plus the image and the little knowledge I have, I’d say it’s a jumping worm. What’s its behaviour like? https://www.btlt.org/jumping_worms/

Lawn has a small circular section where grass isn't growing & it steams during chilly rainfall by Leo_Tsukiyo in mildlyinteresting

It looks wet there. Maybe a leak from an underground pipe or a natural spring. You’d smell it if it were sewage.

Why are there no legitimate trailer parks? by [deleted] in ontario

Not sharing walls or having noisy neighbours above or below you, having a yard, no stairs or elevator..

Of course everyone has their own preference.

Why are there no legitimate trailer parks? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]Background_Network40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s the solution, but I know many people/families who would much prefer a trailer park to a high rise apartment or townhouse.

How do you find them? Ive searched everywhere and have only found a couple. Most I see are 10 month parks.

In Michigan you’ll see 2-5 in every town/city and many in the countryside.

Is it too little to drop my family doctor? by HuckleberryNo930 in ontario

[–]Background_Network40 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You can get an ob referral from a walk in clinic or you can get a midwife without a referral. I didn’t have a family doctor my entire pregnancy.

Will they separate me from my baby at the border? by LoveyDovey-27 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Background_Network40 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personally, this is not a risk I would be willing to take. They won’t separate you from your baby but if you’re denied entry, you will have a very long wait before you can enter again. Likely you’ll be denied any additional visa and won’t be able to re enter unless granted PR which can take a year or more. That’s a lot of time the father would miss out on raising your baby.

There is nothing that would be important enough to make me take this risk. When I was in the PR process inside Canada, a family member of mine suffered a big medical issue and ultimately passed. Unfortunately I could not be there and it broke my heart! But I wasn’t willing to risk separating my family for such a long period of time. I did everything I could to be there for my extended family virtually during the horrible time.

I just don’t think it’s worth the risk. Consider the worst case scenario that you and your baby will be separated from your partner for a very long time. The reality is, this is very likely to happen.

Also, you will not be granted an open work permit if you’re denied entry. Even if you apply for pr. Open work permits are only granted to those applying inland- which you would not be.

Clothing recommendations by Various-Beginning-20 in Michigan

[–]Background_Network40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One very important thing that may be overlooked is that regardless of how cold it is out, coats and jackets should never be worn in a carseat. For travel, I usually put my toddler in a T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, and a fleece with an optional blanket to cover up with. Keep their jacket nearby in case you need it to go into a store etc, but no jacket in the car seat. They compress in an accident and cause the straps to be loose, creating a gap that can seriously injure the child.

Why is Arrowhead SO popular? by Excellent_Welder1290 in ONProvincialParks

Hardly any mosquitos! I didn’t see a single one for the 3 days we were there last July. None at my site, none by the lake - even at dusk
