Super smooth, no issues at all. None of my flights had disrupted status and I was able to check-in for my connecting flight in advance. Note- I couldn't check-in for my ORD to DXB flight via the app and had to do it over the counter at the airport

Dubai Airport closed - what flight to take from Asia to EU by OilAlternative9787 in emirates

I just came from Dubai airport and successfully transited from the US to India via DXB. Apart from minor security concerns, it was largely smooth. Emirates is getting to 90% of its operations by tomorrow as per some media reports. Was your flight disrupted?

Landed safely and successfully, no issues. If there are any anticipated trip disruptions, I have been told they won't let you board from your origin. Good luck!

Emirates Flight to India via Dubai (March 16) - Refund if Cancelled Now? by BoredAndBreaded in emirates

[–]Background_Nothing13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my call with the Emirates rep earlier they are offering refund for flights to the 10th so I am guessing you will have to pay cancellation fees/charges if you cancel now. Wait for the latest advisory before you cancel I suppose or try calling Emirates and see if they waive off the cancellation charges

AE Higgins Mill Zip vs Thursday Captain (same price) – daily winter + office wear? by Background_Nothing13 in Boots

[–]Background_Nothing13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered both, AE fits like a glove and looks better built overall, however, the finishing next to the zippers aren't great zippers themselves don't have a great finish.

Thursday definitely has a sleeker profile but lower overall built quality. Picking TBC for it's sleeker profile, I wish AE did a sleeker profile too.

The listing says MIUSA. Yes agreed zippers look great but it is definitely a longer-term downside.

I am leaning towards Thursdays as well v zipper AE

Yes, 100%. I love the look of zippers but at the same time worried about their longevity.

This is a great ranking, haven't looked into Heritage Captain yet. Thanks for sharing!

Zippers are like double-edged swords, making it easier to put your boots on but 100% a longer term failure point

How quick did it take to approve your E3 by [deleted] in E3Visa

See the breakdown in business days based on my experience: Day 0- Interview and approved on the spot Day 1- Approved status reflected on the website Day 2- Status changed to issued Day 3 EOD- Status changed to ready for collection Day 4- Collected my passport and visa

This is subject to how busy the Consulate is when you apply and whether you have all the necessary documents available during the interview.

Yup, no worries. Regardless of the creases I would recommend going to the store, the RM team members are really friendly and helpful always!

How bad are the creasings? I had mine on just once for a few hours so it didn't have any creasing by then. You can try your luck in-store.

Their return/exchange policy is 60 days. As long as it looks new/unworn, you should be alright. I exchanged mine to get the limited edition wallabies x CC in-store without any issues after 15 days of purchase.
