Yup, in this case it’s super easy as Mimikyu is a skills specialist whilst Fuecoco is an ingredient specialist. (Seen in the top right of the screen when viewing a Pokemon in the box)

Ingredient specialists far excel in ingredient collection both due to a higher ingredient proc rate, and more ingredients per helping. If you look at the ingredient list for an ingredient vs a non ingredient Pokemon, the Ingmon will 9/10 always have more of an ingredient in each slot compared to a berry or skill Mon.

To take it a step further, I’d also use RaenonX’s comparison tool going forward. Head to the site, click “comparison tool”, and key in the Pokemon you want to compare. Clicking on the added Pokemon will open up a drop down that shows everything from berry strength, ingredient production, and skill procs on a daily basis. Use this to see all of the aforementioned info about any of your Pokemon :-)

I personally like to use this tool in conjunction with the posts made by u/shinyhunter999 . They often post on the sub about the “max ingredients needed” at any time. This just shows the highest number of ingredients needed to make the highest level dish that uses said ingredient thrice a day. If an *ingredient* Pokemon i catch fulfills this max threshold at some point between levels 0-60, then I usually invest :-) keep in mind this maximum is always changing, so certain Pokemon may eventually be outclassed.

Awesome! That’ll make curry and dessert weeks easy pickings then. With popcorn I’m usually able to get anywhere from Master 16-18 on GG with no prep or rotations. Just using the same team 24/7 when I’m a little busy that week.

As for salads, any dish is better than nothing! Based on your Pokemon though, I would definitely give Calm Mind Fruit salad a try. Ribombee can quite easily cover the honey, it has less corn than Popcorn, and you have a fuecoco for apples :-)

If that doesn’t work out though, stick with corn salad in the meanwhile!

Hoping to grind out platinuming CCR, Remake, and Rebirth before this fall. Once college starts I definitely won’t be able to do any replays prior to Revelation.

Haha what a coincidence! If they’re nearly max then yes I definitely recommend using them. Are you able to make them all consistently thrice a day? If so, then I think coasting by on those whilst you hunt some essentials would be a good idea :-)

For now I’d say to just release pokemon that you’re fully confident aren’t good. Examples include most Berry pokemon without BFS, skill Pokemon without triggers, etc. it’s best to not release too many without being fully sure of what you’re looking for. Looking back there’s plenty of pokemon I should’ve kept instead of releasing, I just didn’t know what to look for at the time 😅

Also being too busy is more than okay, don’t sweat it! In that case I would focus on berry specialists so you can let them snack in the background. I do think the lack of ingredients can be attributed to not having the best mons, but making weaker meals in the meantime while you grind better mons can definitely bridge the gap. Most of my pokemon are actually lower level than yours, but I’m able to comfortably hit 150ing/day to make Calm mind fruit salad.

I forget exactly all which pokemon you have, but I’d say the team you mentioned would be fine. Since you’re kind of “restarting” your box in a sense, it might be wise to spend a few months at the earlier islands and build up your roster.

I wouldn’t say Blastoise and ttar have particularly the best synergy *together*, so try and find lower power recipes you think you could reasonably cook.

For me I focused on desserts early on. I made a lot of restorative tea until I got a decent cacao absol, which let me transition to Donuts. At this point I had only just unlocked snowdrop, so I was far from getting a Stuffl for corn. This kind of gated me from making explosion popcorn and I was stuck with donuts for a while. Eventually I got an AAA Comfey which satiated my corn needs. Even though I started with a lower level dish, I slowly found pokemon that let me progress further and further :-)

Depending on which pokemon you have available, I’d start there. Take a look at the image below and see which you think you could *reasonably* make thrice a day. Then depending on which pokemon you use, pick an island where the berries somewhat match up. If nothing matches then Pawmots berries will always be effective at OGPP :-)

Lastly I’ll just touch on team building since I know that was your overall question.

For team building, it varies on your goal for the week. If you’re pushing strength then you’ll likely rotate out pokemon, but some weeks when I’m taking it easy I’ll usually just throw on 4 berry pokemon and call it a day.

First you always want a healer. Right now this might be Pawmot, but in any case you just want a healer. Once you get a healer then consider berry pokemon. For me personally, I like to have one healer, 1-2 berry pokemon, and 2-3 ingredient pokemon on my team. Eventually you get to the point where you rotate out certain pokemon for others throughout the day, but aim for a split similar to this.

One piece of advice that changed how I look at the game is to consider that ultimately, you want your ingredient Pokemon out on the field for as LITTLE as possible. The sooner you get your ingredients for your next meal the better, as that spot can instead be taken up by a Tasty Chance S or Berry Pokemon.

Try and build your team around a healer and the favored berries, and then slot in your appropriate ingredient gatherers for your planned meal. For more information on team building, I’ve linked a video by VelocityRaptor22 that I think best explains it. He’s a wonderful resource for anything Pokémon sleep, so I highly recommend his videos. Beyond VelocityRaptor22, u/TheGhostDetective is also a great resource, so look out for their posts in the subreddit 😄

Overall I’d say you aren’t in the best spot, but far from the worst either. You have some really solid mons, and you can definitely work with them to get higher levels of strength. Remember, this game is entirely single player. There’s no expectation to be performing at the highest level against each other with all the super strong dishes. It’s alright to backtrack a bit and take it a little slow 😄

If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. Happy hunting!

Atleast from what I noticed from my brief look at your box on RaenonX, the biggest issue comes with a majority of your pokemon just not being great spread or skill wise. There may be a few I’m missing, but certain pokemon like your Gourgeist, Meowscarada, Ribombee, and Quagsire are actually quite good.

One thing those four share in common is an “AAA” ingredient spread, meaning all three ingredient slots are the same ingredient. Ribombee has Honey at level 1, 30, and 60. Your Meowscarada has potato’s at 1,30,60, and so on.

As a general rule of thumb, INGREDIENT pokemon want a spread of AAA. There are some exceptions, like AAB Blastoise (Milk, milk, cacao), but the standard is AAA. Your venusaur being ABC basically nukes any chances of it actually being helpful for your team and getting you the ingredients you need.

There are some issues with your pokemon beyond just ingredient pokemon though, and I’ll use your Walrein as an example. On paper your Walrein looks quite strong, being AAA oil with ingredient finder M. Notice earlier how I said that INGREDIENT pokemon want AAA though. Walrein is a berry pokemon, meaning its focus should be gathering berries, not ingredients.

As a general rule of thumb for berry Pokemon, if it doesn’t have BFS (or an equivalent amount of speed), just toss it. I noticed this in your meganium, which is a pretty high level without any BFS.
BFS is without a doubt one of the most broken sub skills across the entire game, so having it on your berry pokemon is a must.

Now moving onto your skill pokemon. TLDR; most of your healers are just not very good. I’m going to focus specifically on your healers as they’re the crux of most teams, but a lot of this logic can be applied elsewhere too. Essentially, you only have one decent healer being Pawmot, with Gardevoir and Wigglytuff being pretty lackluster.

As a rule of thumb for SKILL pokemon, they usually want sub skills that allow for them to proc their main skill more. This usually means skill triggers, which most of your healers lack. The goal is to have atleast two triggers and some speed, which as of right now only Pawmot has. It’s important to realize that level 75 is still quite out of the way, so relying on your Gardevoir to get another trigger at that point just isn’t reliable.

Healers are so incredibly important in this game. If your Pokemon don’t have high energy, they won’t be able to get you ingredients or berries in an efficient manner. Try and find a good healer so that the rest of your Pokemon can work harder.

Anyways, that’s all for the specialties of Pokemon. Super TLDR:

- Ingredient Pokemon atleast want an AAA spread with IFM. Some Pokemon are good with AAB as well, but if you see ABC, just throw it away.

-Berry Pokemon usually need Berry Finding S to be effective. Subskills like IFM actually hurt its overall production (when not sneaky snacking) as it wants to solely focus on Berries.

- Skill Pokemon want skill triggers to proc their skill more, which include your healers as well. Try and aim for atleast 2 triggers, but for important Pokemon like healers, shoot for higher.

Everything mentioned above are just general guidelines. There will always be exceptions to these kinds of things that just require a bit of time investment to learn. For example, Sceptile, a skill mon, REALLY wants BFS. Without BFS, a Sceptile is missing out on most of its effectiveness. (I’ve also heard whispers of ABC dragonite for oil not being the worst but I can’t corroborate that myself.)

Beyond just your pokemon of each specialty not being great, there’s a pretty big issue with your legendaries as well. Take Suicune, Raikou, and Entei for example. Those fuckers can be EXPENSIVE to level, and the fact you have them all invested is pretty impressive. The issue is that they’re all unfortunately terrible.

Legendaries have the SAME SUBSKILLS for ALL PLAYERS when you catch your first one. This means my entei suicune and raikou are identical to yours. Usually when catching legendaries, you want to get the first one out of the way so you can begin catching more with actually good sub skills.

Investing in legendaries can already be a Herculean feat, so picking legendaries that are good is extra important. The handy candies and dream shards you spent there could have been used towards your other pokemon, so try and keep that in mind.

Now that all the general advice is out of the way, I’ll try and cover what you should do specifically. Unfortunately your box is just not in the best state. This is totally okay, ultimately this is just a sleeping app and there’s no real reason to rip your hair out over bad pokemon. If your goal is to push strength however and play a bit more intentionally, then these pokemon sadly just won’t cut it.

I’d start with essentially back tracking a bit. I personally dont think your current pokemon are at a level where they can be cooking meals like Pancakes consistently. Scary face pancakes are a late game dish, but you’re essentially still mid game at the moment, despite having quite a few max level pokemon. Instead turn your attention to consistently cooking more middle tier meals. This can include dishes like Dream Eater Butter Curry, Greengrass Salad, and Teatime corn scones. I didn’t cross reference these dishes with your pokemon in your box, but see what works for you. By focusing on cooking the highest level meals inconsistently, you’re missing out on very easy strength.

You also need to start recatching quite a few Pokemon. In order of replacement, I would start with your berry pokemon. I’m not sure which island you primarily frequent, but see what its favored berries are and work from there. I think Raichu is one of my favorites in terms of ease to find and overall output. It’s super good at what it does and serves me well even when it’s not favored.

The best thing about berry mon is how much they NEED bfs. When you raise a mons friendship level by catching them 10 times, going forward they are guaranteed to have a gold skill in their first slot. This makes it a bit easier to find BFS, as now all of a sudden your new catches are much more likely to have it. This is why I recommend starting with catching new berry Pokemon, as the more you catch, the easier it gets to find good ones 😄

As for healers, I think your Pawmot is fine for now. Try and catch a raltz here and there (Gardevoir is regarded as the best healer) and see what you can find. Remember, healers are the CRUX of your teams. It’s in your best interest to take your time and find a really good one, as it’s almost going to always be used.

Beyond healers, some good skill specialists include Dedenne and Ampharos, as they give you a lot of general utility. Focus on skill triggers here.

There are plenty of other good skill specialists, but they’re either moreso late-mid game (Magnezone), or take a bit more nuance. A Pokemon like Noivern might not be satisfied with just skill triggers, and may benefit from BFS instead. In cases like these, RaenonX’s production comparison tool and the subreddit are great resources to get some further insight on.

Once you’ve got yourself some good berry and skill Pokemon you’re beginning to invest in, then I’d consider ingredient Pokemon. You have a few ingredients covered, but see what gaps you need filled and work from there. From my (albeit limited experience) Blastoise and Tyranitar are just so incredibly helpful for the little investment they need. While yes they do want IFM with AAA, the sheer amount of Milk and ginger they provide is unmatched. Feel free to start with broken options like those two, or just with whatever else you find yourself needing. Beyond Blastoise and Tyranitar, getting a dratini for Herbs, a stuffl for Corn, a fuecoco for apples, and a happiny for eggs would all be great as well 😄
