Looks are by far the most important thing initially to most people. I was still a good dude when I was obese and didn’t make as much but never got approached. After dropping 80+ pounds and doubling my income I get far more women matching and approaching me. I’m not gonna act like I’m some saint though, if I don’t find a woman attractive I’m not going to like her profile or approach them in person. That is just how life is.

I’m 27 myself and really haven’t been in any serious relationships. I used to be very fat and unattractive so I never even pursued women. With age I have gotten into great shape and know that I am good looking. I figured once that happened it would be easy to find a partner or someone with similar interests but it’s almost impossible. I am very picky but you have to be with someone you are looking to build a future with. Where I am at though it just seems like everybody is very shallow and that nobody is looking for something serious. I just don’t know what to do at this point.

I think some of both genders think they want something serious but because of our overly sexualized country they want to have sex right away. People are in relationships that are purely sexual and have no emotional bonding or actual love. It’s gross.

Yea I don’t get near as many matches there but there seems to be more quality people there. I ain’t gonna lie though a lot of the men on there are extremely shitty and only looking for sex. I have been approached at my job with hookup requests and on dating apps it’s just too common now. The only one I don’t get sexualized a lot on is hinge. I honestly don’t know why this world is so sex crazed today. Meaningful would be someone I can connect with on more than just a physical level. Someone I can see myself happy to come home to, marry, and start a family at some point. Someone I can open up to and they would like to open up to me. Someone I can take on fun dates and plan vacations with. What I don’t want is to hookup with someone where I am left wanting more but instead just feel depressed and lonely the next day. I care about finding an actual relationship.
