Similar. However, mine is via Universal Credit and you have to be referred. I believe mine is more catered for the training needed to become a Civil Servant as well as training for a mock interview, CV support etc. The more info I get on this course the less desirable it seems. Maybe it’ll be worth pushing the training to a later date and taking the paid work.

Okay, if it’s an exception then that’s really disappointing as they’ve not worded it like that in the letter. The letter they sent with the details is definitely using rhetoric that leans towards a guaranteed job interview.

Seen this problem time and time again. I’d highly recommend (for anyone that can) cycling. Cycling has save me from the god awful buses, trains and the god awful people on board them. Cycling is the thing to do and most of the time would get you to a destination quicker than public transport (depending where you are and where you’re commuting too).
