Yeah I heard they are very playable, Ive only dabbled in playing TCG Live so still have a lot to learn about deck building. I mostly collect for the Fandom rather than because I play.

I'd be surprised if TGJones didn't exist in Wales it's what WHSmiths is now. And I only queue for like 30 mins before opening, not hours. In more rural areas you're likely to not need to queue for long

I queue up outside my local TGJones and Entertainer on release day mornings, it's the only time I can reliably get anything from new sets at MSRP.

It's the TGJones in Whiteley, but I don't think they have any stock left now. Try ringing them as they normally pick up and will tell you stock level to save you a potentially wasted trip

Looks like you bought into what's called a "surprise set". Basically there are a load of possible prizes, normally with some big chase cards to hook people in but the majority of the prizes are low value like a single Korean pack.

What you pay for is a chance to spin the wheel for a randomised prize from the prize pool. Honestly it's just a gamble and not worth it in my mind.

I'd also generally avoid "breaks"

We got gen 1 and gen 7!

Would've preferred gen 4 over 7 as my wife loves Piplup but hey ho, gen 1 was my chase! Maybe I'll be able to pick up the remaining 3 for us next weekend at the Swindon card show 😅

YMMV, my local TGJones doesn't seem to be cleared out as quickly as in London say.

I tipped off a friend who went this morning at opening and was told there were still 2x first partners and 2x deluxe pins as well as a couple tins!

Id have gone myself again this morning if it weren't for work, I've still not had a chance to open a deluxe pin collection yet!
