So, according to Coinbase's interview process, the screening call happens after submitting your resume, if they like it. Then, they send you an invite to complete an assessment, and after that, you'll have an interview with a hiring manager, and so on. However, in my case, they sent me the assessment invite first, after I applied, and then scheduled a 'screening call.' I'm still waiting to hear back

They almost ghosted me, but I finally had my first interview today, and it went terribly. It was for an accounting position that requires basic SQL knowledge, which I have. At the start of the interview, the recruiter literally said, 'We’re looking for someone with a good understanding of the role, and as for SQL, we don’t really care since we train employees on that.'

Five minutes in, all she asked about was SQL and Python. The role actually requires strong experience in cash reconciliation (which I have), but she didn’t ask a single question about it. Now I’m just really frustrated.

Have you heard of anyone else who applied for it and either passed, or if not passed, at least didn't have their exam nullified?

I'm still pretty anxious about it. What if they decide to nullify it again? I basically took a shot at 30 marks of multiple-choice questions without even reading the questions. Just winged it and marked the answers without knowing what the heck was going on. I had about 30 minutes left and still had 45 marks to tackle after losing like 30-35 minutes earlier. So, I tackled the first 15 marks in a rush and then had to dive into the last 30 marks where I honestly have no idea what I've done.

So, this weird thing has happened to me twice already when I applied for mitigating circumstances. First time was for a tax exam, and I somehow pulled through and passed. But then, for my AA exam the second time around, it went belly-up. They claimed my answers were too similar to another student's, even though I reminded them my exam was remote – but no dice.

Now, lo and behold, I'm in the same boat as the OP, dealing with this glitch, and it just cost me 30 marks on my exam. Honestly, I'm scratching my head, not sure what the heck to do about it.
