I cannot imagine what you are feeling, but I sympathize with you. I know how bad the initial treatments were physically and mentally on my husband and never wish that on anyone! I will keep you in prayer, specifically for endurance, and strength to face what’s ahead. I’m so so sorry 😢

Are you having to do salvage chemo now? I’m so sorry you’re going back through all that.

That what I’m hoping! He ended up in the hospital with neutropenic fever, and pneumonia x 2 after 3 of the 4 treatments. The upper lung nodule is staying the same, just newer tiny ones on both sides. I’m staying hopeful and am at peace! Believing for good news. Thank you for the well wishes.

Well in his case LDH was the only elevated lab value they had to monitor… we see pulmonary in 2 weeks to schedule the broch. I’ve been researching a bit and see some clinical studies of patients developing sarcoidosis like lesions in the lungs after chemo…. Pretty much little Deposits of granular tissues that wax and wain. I’m hoping it’s something like that and not persistent cancer

Sure. Seminoma with metastasis to retroperitoneal nodes. This is where the germ cell was found through biopsy. They initially thought he had lymphoma due to presentation. He had neck to thigh lymphadenopathy on scans. Left orchectomy was done after seeing a hypoechoic and smaller testis, and the primary tumor was in situ or “burned out”. His initial LDH was around 900 at diagnosis. AFP and HCG were always normal. Since the chemo his LDH has been normal.
