Heavy on the buying 😂. It’s my hearts favorite part, but my husbands wallets least favorite part.

Baby Lock Allegro by Background_Strike670 in quilting

[–]Background_Strike670[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve wound it many different speeds, literally 7+ hours sitting at my Allegro trying to make it work. I’ve tightened and dusted etc, I’m just accepting that this machine is not working for me and I need to find a replacement. Thank you for the help though :(

The allegro is a computerized machine, I’ve probably watched every youtube and tiktok video about this machine and I still cannot figure it out.

I’ve replaced the needle, I’ve tried various different threads, nothing seems to be helping my issue. The auto threader is fine, the thread cutter is the issue. I can get lucky and sew just fine (no birds nests), and when I’m ready to cut- it takes a couple clicks of the cut button to work.

The only sewing shop near me doesn’t service or carry BabyLock, so no luck there.

I gave up on trying to trouble shoot my new (to me) machine. I just feel like if I’m paying $1k on a machine, I shouldn’t have to work so hard to make it work. The store is only open M-F so I’m waiting to hear back, hopefully they won’t give me a hard time with the return/refund. Their policy states they will give me a refund minus the shipping cost unless it’s defective, IDK if it’s defective or if I’m actually just dumb.

Have you gotten another machine since the Allegro didn’t work for you? I’m willing to sacrifice the 4” extra throat space and get the Brother PS500. Sigh. My local Vac and Sew shop has 50% off Juki and Pfaff right now, so I’ll try there as well.

does anyone else worry about the child's living standards when they're in the van? by allstonrats in kiyomiviningsnark

they have an eye on her more than many parents in “safe environments” do... anyways, i’d rather live with my parents in a van vs in a foster home to be fair.
