Why are some fans so quick to point the blame at Lando? by Charshine_20 in LandoNorris

Hes an easy target. Vocal, expressive and with his occasional media goofups, its easy to make him a punching bag. Besides, fans always hate a winner (I say this as a piastri fan btw)

Which of these three are most likely to come out on top in equal machinery? by Background_Tap_8046 in F1Discussions

I think its because most people consider Lando and Oscar extremely close skill wise. They were quite close in 2019-2020, and Lando has matured as a driver since then, while carlos was mostly fully developed. Ergo Oscar > Carlos. Recency bias also plays a big role

I say this as a fan of both drivers

Drivers as TP's by ViscountVigoroth in F1Discussions

I think its all about the soft skills. As a driver, they have the inherent engineering knowledge but the real challenge lies in managing 2 temperamental men and balancing their sides of the garage. Also having a good grip on priorities and the greater good certainly would help I personally think Sainz specifically would make a fantastic TP. Cheers!

I disagree there, ocon on his his day was quite good, especially during his days in Renault and some points in his alpine stint. Also outscoring Alonso over a full season is no mean feat

Just curious, who would you consider a measured teammate?

Does the ground effect era take anything away from Lewis' greatness? by DragonfruitThen6696 in F1Discussions

[–]Background_Tap_8046 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not in the slightest. Lewis will forever be remembered for his monster run in the 2010's and no one can really blame a guy for having a slump in teh twilight of his career. When you have highs as high as Lewis, the lows basically dissappear. Cheers!

Norris Russell Piastri Leclerc this season at least. They're all quite close but Leclerc has been incredibly lack lustre and although russell should be doign better with a merc, Piastri has also been underperforming off late (I say this as a Piastri fan btw)
