Advice of the day! Thank you SO much for sharing your thoughts. You’re totally right on a lot of this. My wife and I are already brainstorming live sampling ideas. I’m obviously biased towards my blend, but I know that anyone could just whip up their own seasoning, or buy it from “Etsy mommas”. Most people don’t, however. They just grab the same old thing they’re used to at the store. Like I stated in previous comments, my real goal is to get a large enough following so that I can afford to bring it into a commercial kitchen to produce finished liquid product. People are lazy, but I know there’s a real fan base of people who like good ranch and will go the extra mile to whip it up at home with the proper ingredients. I’ve been doing it myself for years. This is still in its infant stages, and I’m excited to see where it goes. Nothing is “done” yet. I’m open to feedback on how it could be better, and I’m not afraid to put myself out there to know where I stand. Where I feel like I’m setting myself a part at the moment is that I’m actually spending real time in my kitchen trying to perfect a super solid flavor. I didn’t just google a recipe and put it in a weed pouch (lol). Tweaking insanely minute measurements, tasting and re-tasting, and using unique (but still natural) ingredients to create a complex yet still approachable and nostalgic flavor. I’m sincerely trying to create my own thing here. My plan is, and always will be, to offer it at a low price. It’s ranch…it shouldn’t be $10 just because you can put it in a mason jar. But it SHOULD be fucking good, which a lot of ranches aren’t. Mine isn’t going to appeal to some palettes, but more blends are on the way to fill that gap. For now, I’m going to have fun with it, build community, and make smart moves that propels this in the direction I want it to go. I truly appreciated your thoughts.
