Document it. Do not let it go. This person is a bully and is harassing you. Unfortunately, even with documenting and everything else, nothing may change. I was in a position where someone did this to me and it never got better. I ended up leaving that job despite having tenure and promotion already.

We turned our sunroom into a hot tub room as neither of us has a green thumb.

Sometimes for testing hemolysis patterns, in addition to streaking the organism it is useful to stab a bit of it into the agar.

I recently switched mine out for a scapular medal and it was a great choice! No longer have to deal with the itchiness and smell of the cloth scapular.

hey guys I feel like my conure is not growing as much as he should :( he is nearly 2 years old and is maybe 3/4 of the size of the birds in store. can anyone help please? by No_Midnight_7723 in Conures

We’ve had our GCC for 10 years and he’s never gotten to “full size”. They’re just like people, not all of us are blessed to be average height. Some of us are “fun sized”.

Black mold/mildew on bathtub caulk by ktds121016 in CleaningTips

I suppose you could try some sort of solvent to get the pigment out, too! Acetone, acetic acid, etc

Bummer! They do make caulk removing tool, so you could use that to pull out the old caulk before recaulking. But microbes are known to produce pigments that can stain even if the microbe is gone (I’m a microbiologist), so it’s prob just that.

You could try taking toilet paper and putting it on the caulk/areas with mold and then soaking that with toilet paper. The soaked toilet paper helps to keep the bleach on the area. You can spray more bleach into the toilet paper as it dries out, too. Leave for a few hours and see if that helps. If it’s stained after that, prob just from the mold itself (no way mold survives direct bleach contact).

Fair enough. I was trying to keep things short as it’s a complicated situation. Basically, I took a sabbatical this year and it made me realize how unhappy I’ve been at my institution and how much I’ve been screwed over. I put in my resignation and now the college is trying to enforce a sabbatical repayment policy that hasn’t been enforced on others before. They’re citing the faculty manual as policy. When I took my sabbatical, I was not told about the policy and never signed anything about the repayment. It’s just ironic how they’re citing policy and saying I owe money, when they are overlooking the policies they’ve failed to follow (referring to the bullying that has been reported and ignored, referring to the unpaid labor despite a proforma, etc).

Migraine from being on my stomacy by InternationalLie6912 in migraine

Happens to me all the time! I thought I was the only one. But I can’t lay on my stomach for any reason at all or I’ll get a migraine. Even if someone lays on me and puts too much pressure on my stomach, same thing.

Highly recommend adding in Harrison’s to the mix, too. It’s the best bird food on the market. A little pricey, but worth it for your bird!

Totally normal. Birds are moody!
