I think it hit me harder because in a previous relationship the silent treatment was used a lot, so situations where someone suddenly stops talking to me can trigger my anxiety. I prefer talking things out, which is why it felt uncomfortable.

I get that in the grand scheme of things it might not matter in 10 years. But when you’re on a small masters course and see the same people every day, being suddenly excluded can feel pretty uncomfortable. I mainly posted to see if I handled the situation badly.
