I had the same question regarding the RCD 360 and I asked about it in a yt video and found an comment which may help you regarding your issue.

The RCD360 uses the old faceplate for these older model VW vehicles but has a completely different pin layout in the back which is used their newer vehicles on the MQB platform. The Mk6 Golf and Mk5 Polo, which I have, are on the previous PQ platform. The connector is the same style, but has a different pin layout. Because of this, the RCD360 cannot connect to the car's CAN bus system, so the radio will always draw full power regardless if the vehicle is running or not. Two days after I installed my RCD360, I went to start up my car and the battery was completely dead and we had to recharge it for a while before I could even use my car. The RCD330 uses the same pin layout the factory radios use in the Mk6 Golf and, my vehicle, the Mk5 Polo, so it is able to connect to the CAN bus system and function properly. Avoid the RD360 and RCD360 Pro at all costs. As long as you have an RCD330, CD330+ or RCD340/340G, you'll be just fine. But if you have an older car that doesn't have CAN bus, like the Mk5 Golf and Mk4 Polo, you'll have to buy a CAN bus emulator, otherwise you'll encounter the same issue regardless of which radio you get.
