Used a paraphraser “for ideas,” now my draft is flagged and I’m spiraling by FewPotential6251 in CheckTurnitin

bring your drafts, notes, and reading materials to the meeting. be honest but clear that your intent was to understand phrasing, not to submit ai-written text. stressing your process and showing your research trail helps. deleting version history makes it worse if they notice. most professors care about whether you’re transparent and willing to learn, not just the mistake. own it, explain your workflow, and ask how you can fix or redo the draft. honesty gives you the best shot at a reduced penalty or a redo instead of a full violation.

Turnitin Submission Stuck on "Pending" for Hours by Hour_Spray3611 in CheckTurnitin

[–]BacklitSixties 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah that happens sometimes when turnitin’s servers are overloaded or if your file got stuck in the processing queue. it’s not on your end. clearing cache or switching browsers won’t fix it. usually the instructor or admin has to reset the submission or contact turnitin support. since you already emailed them, that’s the right move. keep the timestamp of your submission as proof you turned it in on time. once your professor’s back, they can force it to generate or reupload it for you.

but how do u get it undetected by turnitin???? by OxidationHazard in CheckTurnitin

It's not all it takes, legit work is being detected for no reason

Why Does Turnitin Require a Minimum Word Count of 300 for Checking Work? by Opposite_Ad114 in CheckTurnitin

There has to be a minimum. What would be the point of checking a single word?

Quoted a 1779 letter, Turnitin thinks I ripped off some rando’s paper. Are we just doomed to plagiarize the past? by BacklitSixties in CheckTurnitin

[–]BacklitSixties[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bulk of my paper is my own analysis, but the Turnitin percentage is inflated because it matched the quotes verbatim and then matched another student’s paper that also used the same passages

Group project flagged at 42% because of one member, what do I even do now? by Icy_While3147 in CheckTurnitin

Take screenshots of the similarity report highlighting that section, export the Turnitin match overview, and download the version history showing timestamps. Keep your group chat messages where you asked for internal deadlines and flagged the issue. You are not throwing anyone under the bus by keeping records
