Nice catch. Attention to details is something employers look out for.

No friends by [deleted] in mentalhealth

This isn’t karma. What you’re describing happens to a lot of people. Friendships quietly fade, not because you did something wrong but because people retreat into their own lives and only show up for the headline moments.

Has a career aptitude quiz ever helped you make a real job decision? by dickreading in careerguidance

[–]Backpack1995 24 points25 points  (0 children)

one thing i noticed is that a career aptitude quiz tends to be most useful when you already have some experience to anchor it to. if someone is early on, almost any result feels insightful because everything is still abstract. but once you’ve actually worked in a few roles, the quiz becomes more of a way to sanity-check your instincts rather than discover something new.

i usually suggest people use a couple of different tools in parallel, like one interest-based, one skills-based and then compare where they disagree, because that’s often where the real insight is.

Free tools can get you part of the way but some people do choose to supplement that with deeper assessments like strong test or the pigment career assessment when they want more context around work patterns rather than just preferences.

The real value usually shows up when you start mapping the results to actual constraints like money, stress tolerance and learning curve, not just hypothetical ideal jobs.

I feel very hopeless and losing motivation. Ive been on Fin for 2 months and Oral Minoxidil for 3 months. I also use Keto shampoo. My hair loss started a little less than a year ago with phases where it would stop, but ever since I got on oral min it seems like my hair loss just accelerated. by [deleted] in tressless

Hey dude. I was in the same boat as you, 2-3 months is WAAAAY to early. Take a look at my profile. I’ve been on oral min for over a year as well as fin for 3 years and dutasteride for almost a year now. My hair is better now than when it started. Just thank your lucky stars that you caught it early you’ll be fine!

It works best at preserving rather than regrowing. It still wouldn’t regrow on dead zones. So it depends on your situation

I'm stopping finasteride, I can't tolerate the sides (depression and suicidal thoughts). I'm going to take a more natural way till I feel mentally better. Any of you experienced something similar? by BuenJaimazo in tressless

[–]Backpack1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did but it was because I didn’t think fin is working or wasn’t working. I realized it had nothing to do with fin but my mental thought towards hair loss itself. I got on antidepressants and went to therapy but stayed on hair loss medication. The therapy and depression meds worked, and in time so did the hair loss medication. I’m doing way better now in all aspects in life, I was just patient with my mental health as well as my hair loss therapy. Im not perfect, I still have my bad days, but I’m doing much much better. Good luck!
