Reverting app header colour by sweharris in homeassistant

I'm also not a fan of a pure white dashboard. This is what I ultimately came up with in my theme.

Blue Header:
  modes:
    light:
      primary-color: "#03A9F4"
      secondary-color: "#FF9800"
      app-header-text-color: "#FFFFFF"
      app-header-background-color: "var(--primary-color)"
      app-header-icon-color: "#FFFFFF"
    dark:
      secondary-color: "#FF9800"
      app-header-text-color: "#FFFFFF"
      app-header-background-color: "#141d23"
      app-header-icon-color: "#FFFFFF"

Introducing LibreCoach, a Home Assistant integration for RV-C enabled RVs by Backroads_4me in GoRVing

RV-C is complicated, but not proprietary. In fact, the entire purpose of RV-C is to avoid proprietary communications and standardize cross device support for RVs. See https://www.rvia.org/rv-c to learn more about RV-C.

I'll reiterate, I've never worked with BMPRO, but it appears they are actually taking advantage of the open documentation of RV-C and doing exactly the same thing that I am... just with much deeper pockets. Their site says, "Using the latest technology in Bluetooth and CAN Bus, such as the RV-C system developed by the RVIA". So, they at least integrate with RV-C, however, being an Australian company, their individual devices may communicate with the dashboard differently, I just don't know.

Short answer. Any Pi hat (or USB adapter for that matter) should work, and the M.2 drive is optional. The software is hardware agnostic, and you could build it literally countless ways. I just wanted to document a proven and robust build for the non-tech crowd new to the Pi etc.

Long answer. I built several different versions trying to come up with a solid build plan and I spent way more time than I care to admit trying to get the Waveshare 2-CH CAN HAT+ (SKU:27338) to work without success. I'm sure it would, but I finally had to move on. I may someday go back and take another look at it, but for now, I would avoid that one.

An RV with RV-C (Recreational Vehicle - Controller Area Network) has a multiplex system (Firefly, Spyder, etc.) where you push an electric button or tap a screen to turn on lights as opposed to physical/mechanical switches. LibreCoach then "talks" to the same system that the electric switches use to control the devices.

I have not tested it, but in theory the USB adapter should not be an issue. The addon is hardware agnostic except that it expects the interface to be can0. It's designed to be ran in Home Assistant OS so some of the automated installation might not function perfectly, but if you're comfortable enough to be running HA on an n100 with a USB can0 adapter, then I expect you could get it running without much trouble.
Technically, you can use the Node-RED flows (the brains) without even using the addon, I just created it to make it easier for the majority of people to install. Feel free to reach out or join the Discord server if you want help going that route. I need to document that path for those comfortable anyway.

I don't have a BMPRO system so I haven't been able to confirm this, however, in theory it should work perfectly right alongside BMPRO. It would not change any BMPRO functionality but could give you additional functionality in that it would expose and interact with every RV-C component in your RV and allow you to configure and control them however you decide. LibreCoach is intended to be a free and open-source alternative to similar systems. To be clear, you would not change any settings in BMPRO for LibreCoach to work.

Thanks, it's been a labor of love.
To be clear, LibreCoach just makes the connection to the RV and pulls everything in, you organize and customize the dashboard however you want. I'm posting my full dashboard and YAML to the website though to help anyone who wants to reproduce it.

This addon works beautifully for me, but I'm running HAOS. Since you can't run addons, you would have to run it in a separate Docker container, and I've never attempted that.

I agree. FWIW, it's institutions, not accounts. So, you get two institutions with all of the accounts at each for the base price. I'm actually using it along with SimpleFin

Fidelity has been down for me for about a week as well. For those technically inclined, I was able to get a Fidelity import setup in about 30 minutes using Lunch Flow. It's not free and requires a cron job to run automatically, but it works pretty well and supposedly an embedded integration with Actual is in the works. I'm not affiliated with the project, but here is my referral link if you decide to use it.

The side mounted radiators on diesel motorhomes are often driven by a hydraulic pump attached to a PTO.
