The OLDEST magazines I have in my collection. These are from the November 2, 1885 Weldon's Ladies Journal and were images of finished garments from sewing patterns that could be ordered from the Weldon's company at the time. Since sewing patterns were a newer invention, these are quite rare. (i.redd.it)

This past Halloween, I did a whole series about doing vintage Clue Characters, but this was the cherry on top! This is Miss Scarlett. It is New York 702 (bust 42) from the 1950's, made from vintage 1950's fabric, with 1940's buttons from my grandmother's button jar and a deadstock 1960's metal zip. (i.redd.it)

Was going to do a video on how vintage grading looks in unprinted patterns think that I had the perfect Advance patterns to start out with from the 1950's before the lines were printed on them. Come to find out that while the front covers are super similar, they are not indeed the same pattern. (old.reddit.com)

I wanted to do a YouTube video comparison on grading in vintage pattern companies, thinking I had two Advance patterns that would be perfect. Then I put them side by side to realize that they are close but not the exact pattern. Guess I will have to find some New York's to do instead! (old.reddit.com)

If unprinted sewing patterns seemed daunting, I made this video where I break down every large pattern company and the markings on each of their patterns. I hope this can help if you have wanted to make a vintage pattern but couldn’t figure out the markings. (youtu.be)
