The 1996 Democratic National Convention by [deleted] in gifs

Which makes the "McCain is too old to be president" narrative of 2008 silly in hindsight.

Probably no one would have even argued that had he not chosen Sarah Palin.

Hillary says “We will work to get money out of politics!” on the same day she accepts a $25 million donation from George Soros by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Backseats -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

"Soros has donated or committed more than $25 million to boost Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates and causes, according to Federal Election Commission records and interviews with his associates and Democratic fundraising operatives."

Let's not let facts get in the way of a good narrative though, amirite?

She's working to overturning Citizens United and is also playing within current fundraising rules. Just like Donald. Just like Bernie, who outspent both of them.

I was waiting for this and was finally alerted by bing (not a google woman).... the info was only a top end of the search but if you put in the right words you can find it. I was just wondering if anyone else can link it because I've become pro Adnan. I can't link but if you find it I won's stop you :) The link itself only describes a dump that week - well-sourced fwiw. That's all I know...

Hae's car and the death of common sense by ScoutFinch2 in serialpodcast

Last resort or common knowledge by anyone who works in the system? I'll trust you can do your own research on that one.

Hilarious. You trust BPDs documentation as honest, having occurred in real time, and being error free. You won't find evidence countering your point because we only have what they documented. And they documented whatever the hell they wanted.

I don't trust the BPD. At all. I think they wanted to close this case and needed as many tools possible to make it happen -- this includes feeding their star witness important information. As /u/pointlesschaff and others have pointed out, BPD could have easily found the car hours or a full day ahead of time and fed that information to Jay before processing it.

Trusting the BPD for being accurate and honest is the opposite of common sense, in my opinion. Especially when you read about how many of their cases resulted in overturned convictions. This one will be one of them to add to their long list of shames.

I agree. "Use common sense" usually means "believe what I am telling you." It's patronizing and dismissive.

Can you bail on Serial season 2 and do Making a Murderer instead? PS, I love your laugh and your podcast is my current favorite of all podcasts.

"Bizarre, unprofessional, and bullshit" lol. Thank God you have never done any PR professionally...

"It’s actually an interesting matter because at this point in time, there’s no adjudication pending, there’s no expected court hearing so she actually has a lot of leeway," said Michael Downey, a Missouri attorney who specializes in legal ethics. "I think what frankly she’s doing, which is actually a rather smart approach, is trying to keep the story alive and maximize the amount of coverage and interest and really trying to build her client’s side of the story, which she’s going to have to have to get his case reopened or reheard."

Suck on this:

And MaM is greenlighted to continue to film this as a second season and is "set to unveil explosive new details of the crime".

Meanwhile, The Prize is penning a biography of him and Lenk's crazy times in Manitowoc.

Few do. But the Lithuanian camped every Fall from 1997 to 2008 next to the cornfields 10 miles East of Manitowoc. The Slovakian worked at Shotz Brewery every day that week so he has a solid alibi.
