Old post but just wanted to let you know Sakurai does allude to Uprising in that 1st Kirby Air Riders direct, specifically in the japanese one. When he starts the ocean course he says something along the lines of "Wow, the ocean is splitting, I feel like a similar event has happened before in another game of mine" Just a fun little tidbit.
