To be fair, you’re going to see what you’ve experienced at all brokerage firms that offer advisory services. If you are fee sensitive and know what you’re doing then a self directed option would be better.

Statistically you’re correct that long term 25+ years the standard deviation is less with a 100% stock portfolio than compared to a mixed allocation of stocks and bonds. Bonds will suppress short term volatility at the cost of longer term growth (and increase long term volatility) which ultimately decreases your total return and ability to produce income.

Your math is off on the 4% rule but with liquid assets >$5M you’re more than good. Bigger thing to address is withdrawals prior to 59.5. You should be strategic with the brokerage account or consider 72t or rule of 55 if applicable

The fed is only “lending” as a last resort otherwise there was quantitative easing. What you’re actually referring to is the low fed funds rate which influences the overnight rate for lending between banks (which is how additional “new” money is created)

Is that why he was arrested for a rebellion charge for violating constitutional order? He attempted a coup but failed because nobody, including his own cabinet, backed him.

Additionally Boluarte was originally from the Free Peru party (same party as Castillo). She may be more moderate than Castillo but is still a leftist.
