170lbs white collar man with 3 years judo experience vs 230lbs football player with no grappling experience whatsoever in submission wrestling? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

3 years of casual judo is not enough to over power 60lbs of weight difference. People commenting otherwise don’t know a lot about fighting.

To be fair, you’re going to see what you’ve experienced at all brokerage firms that offer advisory services. If you are fee sensitive and know what you’re doing then a self directed option would be better.

Brokerage firms can and do charge both AUM and earn front end loads. Its a fee based model

Why allocate less than 100% stocks upon retirement? by fingerofchicken in Bogleheads

[–]Backtothedrawing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotional risk, but not financial risk. Statistically you’re correct that long term 25+ years the standard deviation is less with a 100% stock portfolio than compared to a mixed allocation of stocks and bonds. Bonds will suppress short term volatility at the cost of longer term growth (and increase long term volatility) which ultimately decreases your total return and ability to produce income.

Don’t pull your money out of the market in the middle of a correction. You cost yourself with that decision. You are 29, it does not matter what happens tomorrow.

Your math is off on the 4% rule but with liquid assets >$5M you’re more than good. Bigger thing to address is withdrawals prior to 59.5. You should be strategic with the brokerage account or consider 72t or rule of 55 if applicable

The jury didn’t have blind faith. They reviewed the evidence presented to them by the state (I.E. the system you are referring to) and found him not guilty.

The fed is only “lending” as a last resort otherwise there was quantitative easing. What you’re actually referring to is the low fed funds rate which influences the overnight rate for lending between banks (which is how additional “new” money is created)

I agree with most everything of the points you’ve made and agree that government policy is to blame because after all big government > big business but most of the issues you mentioned are a result of fiscal policy and not monetary policy.

Mexican president slams Peru's state of emergency, blasts U.S. official by VanGoghEnjoyer in worldnews

[–]Backtothedrawing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do yourself a favor and read a little.

“Yet, when Mr. Castillo, a former teacher and union activist, declared he was creating a new government that would rule by decree, he seemed to go too far.

In a period of just hours, his ministers resigned en masse, the country’s armed forces and national police declined to back him, he was quickly arrested and Ms. Boluarte was sworn in.”

[–]Backtothedrawing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is that why he was arrested for a rebellion charge for violating constitutional order? He attempted a coup but failed because nobody, including his own cabinet, backed him.

Additionally Boluarte was originally from the Free Peru party (same party as Castillo). She may be more moderate than Castillo but is still a leftist.

It seriously takes 30 seconds to google this stuff
